Well..it looks like Carr will remain in Texas, and Culpepper in Minny. I was just looking at the qb free agent list for 2006 and this is a name that cought my attention. He is young (only 26) with 4 years of NFL experience. He is an unrestricted FA next year, and I dont Think Arizona will re sign him. I know his ints are a problem but he does have a strong arm, and is mobile...What do you guys think? It wouldn't cost us a draft pick (although i would still like to bring in a rook via draft). And he could compete for a starting job here. From his days in NO Randy (our GM) likes to bring in a lot of qb's to compete. Do you think Josh is in the Phins radar?

Arizona won't re sign him because he's nothing special. He's not an upgrade over Rosenfels so what's the point?
Saban is tinkering with the personnel in order to upgrade, not stand pat.

I'd give the guy a chance. He definatly has the physical tools and maybe with some better coaching he could turn into a legitamate starting QB. You guys have to understand this guy has been playing on a team with no defense, running game or offensive line. Maybe a change of scenery is all he needs.

agree, those are very good point. Bringing this guy in wont cost too much..and no draft pics. Im not saying he is the answer at qb..just somebody to bring in and compete.

yeah but he is also playing on a team with larry fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin

Dont ever trust Green with personnell decisions. Just because he doesn't like him means nothing. In fact the way he's been getting rid of talent over there it probably speaks well for him. We should target two or three freeagents from Arizona. They've become a farm system for the NFL. Green is probably the worst coach in the NFL right now. Anyone who's seen McCown can tell you he has talent. What he lacks is consistency. Someone's gonna grab him and in my estimation he's the best "value" out there. There may be better QBs but you're going to have to pay to get em (Rivers). I would be happy if we draft a QB and sign McCOWN and keep one of our QBs to round out the roster. By the way he threw for almost 400 yds against the Panthers this year

He's good because he has Fitzgerald and Boldin, 2 of the top WR's in the NFC. He won't do as well here. Our last McNown experiment, Cade, fizzled.

Did anyone see the HBO inside the NFL episode this year when they had him miked up?

He is ONE annoying redneck. I couldn't believe the way he was talking to all the pros around him. He is not a qb I'd want on my team....
