Pete Carroll did not have a lot of success coaching the Jets or Patriots but damn look at what he has done at USC. Why not offer Pete the job here if Saban leaves and pay him Saban money?

DISCUSS.
 
Unless he is burning with desire to be a NFL coach again, no thanks.

Wayne has dumped money on the problem to the extent that he may have brought into the NFL ranks two coaches who just didn't have the desire to push the team over the top. There is absolutely no reason why Wayne should make that mistake a third time if Saban leaves. He needs to choose a hungry assistant and grow a coach the old fashioned way.
 
Pete Caroll will never leave USC within the next 10 years unless he retires he is too happy with SC and what he is doing there.. GO USC
 
Not Carroll!!! He's the one who gave the "choke" sign to Stoyanovich after he missed a possible game tying extra point, only to have Marino get the ball back and drive down the field and Stoyo kicked a game winning FG! Can't stand the guy ever since!

I disagree....I think Carroll would jump at a challenge and would like to show that he is a better coach than he was with the Jets and Patriots. The NFL is a step up over pretty much any college job.
 
He wouldn't be horrible....but I think we need to set our sites a little higher.

Yeah, he is kind of a ****y prick....but he rarely gets beat.
 
I hope this is a joke. No college coaches, and ESPECIALLY no college coaches who have been NFL flops!!

WHY would Pete go back anyway? Hes like a demigod in USC right now. He is at the pinnacle and there is no reason for him to step down. USC is right now ranked #1 for next year and is the frontrunner for BCS championship.

But dammit NO college coaches, they just dont work, it has been proven over and over!! The only thing id dislike more would be if we hired mularkey and inadvertantly begin the apocalypse.
 
I think Carroll wouldn't find the NFL to his liking because he can't be handed a huge advantage with a bow tied on top thanks to the voters in the polls who are in love with the Trojans.
 
dude if we hired mularky as head coach i would start a Riot infront of the head offices of the dophins WHO IS WITH ME!

Proven loser in the NFL. If he had his way, he'd take all the good teams off his NFL schedule...just like he did at UF when he took UMiami off his schedule, only to continue to lose to UM in the bowls!

$$$$ Wayne has a very large wallet....could offer him way more than what he makes at USC.
