Im sure you know who Dorrell is, just incase you forgot, he is our wr's coach and former ucla head coach. All he has done with our recievers is make them very good. He toke Davone Bess and made him into out number one wr. Ted Ginn has had his moments but you can see how imporved he is and Greg Camarillo before he got injured was having a super year. Yes it is the players who makes then plays but its the coach behind them who is helping them get better. So what do u say, throw some love around for Karl Dorrell

you are right about that...he is doing a good job in helping our receivers grow&develop...we obviously don't have the greatest WR corp in the league, and say what you will about Pennington helping them grow, and he is,but you're right,Dorrell is doing a good job in teaching them and helping them to get better...

I agree. He is very underrated and I really hope he stays here.

What are receivers have done so far is amazing considering one of them is an undrafted rookie free agent and the other is just a second year guy. I think both Pennington and Dorrell have helped them overachieve so much. Should Dorrell be future offensive coordinator for the fins?

love what hes done with the WRs, also, he just may have brought the best, finally, out of David Martin. This guy has dropped about 10 less passes this year and is blocking very well(which probably isnt much of the WR coach, but still).

Okay Mrs. Dorrell, we'll throw some love around for your husband. :woot:

you make a good point but i seriosuly doubt that would happen unless henning just retired. I also wonder with some many college coaches getting fired i wonder if he might peak someones interest in the college level again.

He didn't exactly go out a winner at UCLA, so he may be with us for at least a few more years.

The entire coaching staff has done a great job with the guys so far.

I still think Henning is a stop-gap. It could come down to Dorrell but I think that Lee may get it, especially with the effectiveness of the Wildcat.

You are right there he was 6-6 his final year but his lack of success was mostly due to injuries. I think UCLA should admit their regret for firing him. Overall Dorrell, with a 35-27 record at UCLA was a winner and an overacheiver right in the middle of Trojan land which has proven to be very difficult and mostly unsuccessful. I recently mentioned him for head coach at the winless Washington Husky job on a local radio station and got pretty much the same response, I was surprised at the lack of respect for a guy that may prove to be a big time winner given the right situation.
That and I was interested in seeing a great athlete in Jake Locker benefit from Karl's pass game and wildcat knowledge, if he does leave the Dolphins you gotta figure he takes the wildcat with him. Overall I'm really glad he is with us and I hope he gains respect and success right in Miami.

I am happy to see him getting his due....no one really mentions him much but you cna see from week to week the improvement in each reciever
