How about the pass rush for the two back to back games? I know it's pre season, but it is still encouraging to see this. The sacks and pressure came in this game, and while last week there weren't the sacks like this game, Miami kept on putting pressure on Garrad last week too. The thing is this, Miami had issues having pressure on the qb last season, but also, I don't recall Miami getting pressure on the qb last pre season as well and remember not feeling too good about how much time Miami was giving qbs in the preseason as well. All I know is that it is refreshing to see Miami brining good pressure. What I have seen is, is the defensive ends coming around and closing in and getting pressure on the qb, or always looming in for a sack and not giving the much time and when the DE are locked up, some of the DTs have come through the middle and were getting pressure inside, and on plays both DEs or DTs were locked up Joey Porter or Matt Roth were getting sacks or pressure.
So what is encouraging about this is that they are getting pressure and doing well from all sides and if one position is locked, another one makes up for it, so basically the pressure is not dependent from mainly the DEs, or lbs, but one taking over the slack for each other. All I remember is being discouraged last regular season and pretty much most games and the pre season last year, of the qbs having so much ridiculous time to throw the ball against Miami's defense from the inconsistent or lack of pressure. I swear they could have finished a novel and still throw unhurried with how Miami's defense was as far as the lack of pressure goes. This will only help the secondary and help in the sense of offenses having to guess where the pressure is coming and not just be able to hold it off if locking the DEs, because of the players coming from all sides.
