trade down and pic up an extra second rounder

Round 1.)

Jerry Hughes, TCU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 258.
Projected 40 Time: 4.64.
Projected Round (2010): 1-2.

11/14/09: Jerry Hughes is once again having a huge year (10.5 TFL, 9 sacks). He has a great shot of being the first rush linebacker taken in the 2010 NFL Draft.

5/18/09: Jerry Hughes had a monstrous 2008 campaign for TCU, notching 19.5 TFL and 15 sacks.

Round 2.)
NotreDame_logo-1.gif
Golden Tate*, Notre Dame
Height: 5-11. Weight: 195.
Projected 40 Time: 4.41.
Projected Round (2010): 2.

11/7/09: Doesn't have the upside of an Arrelious Benn, but I'd rather have the sure thing. Golden Tate has 56 catches for 927 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games.

10/10/09: Golden Tate has really stepped up his production with Michael Floyd out. Through five games, Tate has 33 receptions, 602 yards and four touchdowns.

5/13/09: As a mere sophomore, Golden Tate caught 58 balls for 1,080 yards and 10 touchdowns in Notre Dame's pro-style offense. With another great year, Tate could be a first-round prospect.

Round 2.) B
FresnoState_logo-1.gif
Ryan Mathews*, Fresno State
Height: 5-11. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2010): 2.

11/7/09: Ryan Mathews is having an incredible year at Fresno State (1,316 yards, 7.4 YPC, 11 TDs in eight games). You may shrug off the fact that he plays in the WAC, but in three games against Wisconsin, Cincinnati and Boise State, Mathews has rushed for 486 yards and four touchdowns on 76 carries.

Round 3.)

Micah Johnson, Kentucky - Scouting Report
Height: 6-2. Weight: 254.
Projected 40 Time: 4.71.
Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

2/19/09: As one of the leaders of the Wildcats, Micah Johnson recorded 93 tackles, 13 TFL, 2.5 sacks and two passes broken up as a junior. He was on the All-SEC First Team.

8/3/08: Micah Johnson has just one career start under his belt, but he was productive last season in relief. Johnson had 58 tackles, five pass break-ups and two interceptions.

Round 4.)

Jay Ross, East Carolina
Height: 6-3. Weight: 314.
Projected 40 Time: 5.14.
Projected Round (2009): 3-4.

11/28/09: Has 35 tackles, three TFL, 1.5 sacks and a 49-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Jay Ross didn't look too bad running that one back on national TV.

2/14/09: Once again an All-Conference USA honorable mention, Jay Ross accumulated 48 tackles, 9.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks.

8/1/08: Jay Ross started 12 of East Carolina's 13 games as a sophomore. He registered 38 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks, earning himself a spot on the All-Conference USA honorable mention list.

Round 5.) "hoping dickson drops to us here

clear.gif
Ed Dickson, Oregon
Height: 6-5. Weight: 240.
Projected 40 Time: 4.63.
Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

10/10/09: Ed Dickson has 22 catches for 309 yards and four touchdowns through five games.

1/5/09: Ed Dickson finished his junior campaign with 35 receptions, 508 yards and three touchdowns.

10/26/08: Despite the dropoff at quarterback, Ed Dickson's numbers haven't really decreased; in a three-game stretch this year, Dickson had 20 catches, 266 yards and two scores.

5/23/08: Ed Dickson was reliable target for Dennis Dixon, as he caught 43 passes for 453 yards and three scores in 2007.

That's what I think is actually gonna happen!

Personally I replace R.Mathews for Von Miller OLB, I think we drop JP and not re-sign JT.

Nice job!

have you seen mathews run ? that guy is awsome !

One of the better mocks I have seen as of late on this site. Jerry Hughes is becoming my favorite prospect in the draft. Take out Ryan Matthews, because Ronnie will be back, and we have waaay too many holes for another RB. I'd rather draft another LB or a free safety at that spot.

I was going to say if we draft another RB who goes?? We will have Brown, Williams, Cobbs, Hilliard, and Sheets. I have a feeling that they might try and trade Brown before the draft if they can. Just a feeling I have. I would love to have Micah Johnson, I think he could do very well if we can grab a Karlos Dansby in FA. Good job.

I dont think Johnson and Ross will get to the position that you list. I think Johnson is going to go in rnd 2 at the latest in the first 10 picks of rd 3. Ross would go in rd 3 or at the top of rd 4. I would love to have both of these players and I think they would fit our scheme very well but I think both will not be available when you list them.

What if Tate doesn't come out? There will be a lot of sad fans on this site.

That would be very nice.....I especially like Hughes and Tate. I think Tate is the next Steve Smith....fantastic hands and he will catch it in traffic and take hits and hold onto it.

yea i would put ronnie on the market to see what we could get for him, hilliard has looked pretty good in the snaps he has gotten, no he is not going to replace ronnie but he is serviceable

Pretty simple really....Brown wil be 28 I think....do you seriously want to give a contract to a 28 yr old RB who couldn't stay healthy in his prime? What do you think is going to happen going forward...he won't be getting any younger. But I'm not going to hijack this thread and make it about Ronnie...

I like the mock.

thats why I threw Matthews in there in the second , if people would just be realists and see that it wouldn't make sense to spend big money on a running back who is injury prone has lost some speed and only gets yardage out of the wildcat. ricky is getting old cobbs is coming of a major knee injury you gotta start looking ahead to the future.
