How awesome is it that we get pressure with our down 3?

Now this defense is loved around the league they have made major strides and now have all the confidence in the world. They are young nasty and go as hard as they can.

But the thing i am loving the most is that our down three...whether it be Ferguson, Langford, Merling, Starks, Paul or whoever they are doing a tremendous job of collapsing the pocket and stopping the run. As well as flushing the QB to our sack happy linebackers. They are huge reason our Defense if in the top 10. They are doing their job and dont care about stats or glory they scream a BP style of D.

our d line play has improved so much over last season it is night and day. they have been very good and best of all steadily improving

ferguson may be the most underated move we made. perfect for our rookie DE's to have that veteran anchor in the middle. having holliday is key also, and even more so because he had to endure last season and must share that same rookie enthusiasm.

D-line has been the biggest improvement from last year to this year. Langford and Merling are both studs, Ferguson was a huge improvement over Keith "i cant last 5 minutes" traylor, and Vonnie is playing awesome right now.

I agree with that completely. I was looking at our defensive stats earlier and found out we only have 1 INT for the season. And that was by a defensive lineman!!! We absolutely have to address our defensive backfield this offseason. But to point of the thread, it is great to see the three guys up front collapse the pocket, stuff the run, and beat the hell out of the opposing QB.

Even though the INT stats are down they have been making plays in coverage. I rewatched the Chargers game and found myself saying NICE COVERAGE quite a few times.
