Bet365.com are giving the Dolphins odds of 10/1 just to win the AFC East.

I have a few points to disagree this fact.

1, Have they completely forgotten who won the division last year?!

2, After winning the AFC East, we have imo, seriously upgraded certain positions of our team ie, secondary, center, wide receiver and LB corps.

3, How on earth can these muppet odds layers have us behind the likes of the Jests and the Jills, this is unbelievable, just because they have TO, the man love that is shown through their ' book' is untrue!

4, I personally can't see that Tom Brady will be so much better than what Cassel did last year for the Rats, especially coming back from a serious injury and he will have mental scars to overcome.

5, We have great coaches who come up with a very innovative playbook and we have the wildcat which will be used this season to keep opposing defenses catching fresh air.

6, We also have a young, hungry team who don't beat themselves with turnovers, a QB who ok, doesn't have the strongest arm but is a game manager of quality and he gets it done when it matters as proved on occasions last season.

Ok, maybe some of these points are slightly biased but for christ sakes, 10/1 is a ridiculous price. I've already taken the bait. I'm gonna be loaded at the end of the year, i can see it!

I don't know why people don't understand what odds are, and how/why they are created. Fans get massive ammounts of anal inflamation over odds. You see, like you get up and go to work, or school every morning, these guys do thier homework to set odds.

The reason they set odds is to encourage betting. It really doesn't matter if they win or lose, because the money is made by "action", or the ammount of money flowing in on a bet on a certain thing with certain odds.

It's no disrespect, or a joke, or anything like that. Obbsmakers put food on the talble by setting odds to encourage bet volume. Its just business.

no offens,but you sound suprised.Even in the early 00's everybody spat on the Phins.Its going to take AT LEAST 2 more years of consistantly being releavant for the Dolphins to even be nationally recognized....:scan:

As I do agree with you. I don't think being afc east champs last year means we have any more of a chance this year, but i find disrespectful is everyone other dolphins fans saying us going being afc east champs was nothing and we are just a joke of a team, honestly we got as much as a chance as anybody going all the way if not better then most.

Ok then, let me put it in another way,

Basically these guys are giving the Dolphins just a mere 10% chance of retaining the East. In my view that is way out of our actual chances of success.

I've just taken the value to try and turn it into a profit. It may not happen, but at 10/1 it is far too good to pass by.

I'd like to add... Odds makers are right more times than they are wrong!!!
