To Dallas For One Of The 1st Rounders

why do yall want JT out of Miami, I dont understand!?!

he is still one of the best DE in the NFL, if we trade him then we will just end up drafting a guy who is unproven and may not work out.

JT is our best player for crying out loud! why would we get rid of our best player?!?

At 34 years old and already pursuing a Hollywood career his value is dwindling by the day. We would lucky to get a 3rd. Everything JT is currently doing doesn't show he's commited to playing football!

Because realistically the Fins are a few years away . . . and sure JT at 33/34 is still sweet . . . . but JT at 36/37 . . . . ehhhhh . . . I mean if you can get a 1st round pick that is 25 in 3 years and entering his prime . . . you definitely would prefer that over JT. The key here is that player is unproven . . . so obviously there is risk involved . . . but I think the consensus is that JT will be too old by the time Miami is really competitive . . . and its better to get good value for him now why he has something left . . . . knowing what we know after last season . . . we would have been better served trading Zach for a 2 and JT for a 1 back in 2006. Both were much more realistic back then than now . . . but hey its impossible to predict the future.

JT for a 1st or 2nd seems decent . . . though I am one of the few who think with a little luck and Beck being the real deal . . . we can suprise a few heads . . . and I would love for JT to be on the team.

This is the way i see it with taylor. I dont want him to go just because he has been with miami his entire life and you want to be loyal to a person that has been the heart and soul of the dolphins for so long,And has been loyal to us and played his butt off like no other. But on the other hand we should not be a contender this year to make the super bowl and are a rebuilding team and he knows this. we need to do whats best for the team and trade him.Man i hate to say that. But the reality is. If we can get value for him now we should do it .This years Draft and when all the cuts come in july and august and we sign people that are let go from other teams is what is going to make this team a contender in the years to come. i beleive this from my heart. It is a must that we trade jason for a valuable pick and not just because we can. And if we cant get a pick that is of value than we need to just keep him. Just because he still is a quality player in this league,For how long we dont know but a quality person in return for 10 to 12 more years seems a lot better for him and for us.

we owe it to jt to trade him to a contender since we are not getting to the sb in the next couple of years. i am pretty sure we all agree with that. i love jt and zt, but right now we have to look at the future of the franchise and do what is best for it.

JASON TAYLOR IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE....HE HAS MORE VALUE AS OUR STARTING OLB THAN WHATEVER WE WOULD GET IN A LATE THIRD ROUNDER.

Now if we can get a 2nd round pick? yeah, I think we can use it to trade UP into the 1st round again.

Keep Taylor, he'll just make Jake Long a better tackle in practice, i believe that is what he has done to Carey too, if you go against the best you have a shot at being the best! I say lets act like we are contenders! We have some nice draft positions , lets go for it! Fill some holes

if Taylor can fetch us a low 1st round pick or an early 2nd then, realistically, that's his best value to us right now. having him here the last few years hasn't stopped us sucking majorly.

if he was to go & get a ring elsewhere too, that'd be a bonus.

u know what i just noticed we are going to be missing alot of talent if we do not pick up a 5th rounder up when we make some trades.

Same reason the Chiefs did? Although Taylor wont come close to getting you what Allen did. No way you get a 1st or 2nd for 34 year old Taylor.

I don't neccessarily want JT out of Miami now that Jake Long is the #1 pick.

If we get Groves in the 2nd, it may be a different story, but there is a very realistic possibility that he will be long gone by #32. So then what? We open the season with Cliff Avril or Lawrence Jackson starting at OLB for us? Sorry, I'll take my chances with the Pro Bowler.
