How Close???

We seem to have a few on the edge of jumping off, what will happen if we lose Sunday??? Mass suicide??? Probably not, but if you were just visiting this site Monday morning if we lose to the Bill's you wouldn't know the difference between an early 2 losses in the season and the end of the world. There has already been a few threads here where some fans are panicking from a week one loss to a very good team.

The end of the world will not be upon us and we won't be the worst team in football if the ball doesn't bounce our way Sunday. Fact is we are close, real close to being a top 10 team. Once IMO you reach that status the ultimate prize can be had. The thing is, we (the fans) need to be patient and for fans of a team that hasn't won it all in a long time the wait is agonizing, but not as bad as say....being a Bill fan:D .

With that said, many here and in our division (rival fans) think our weak spot is our secondary. I happen to think our secondary will be a strength for years to come once Saban gets them into position where their no longer thinking, but reacting. Saban is installing a D scheme thats, well not the norm. It takes time to learn, understand and trust. I just want everyone to remember these days of not having the confidence in this unit. Soon you'll forget you ever worried about our secondary, then you'll probably turn into one of those arrogant annoying Pat fans that think there best buds with God himself, because they are untouchable. Lets not go there, lets remain humble. Anyways there is a new article in the Sun-sentinal this morning and it's a good read, check it out and keep this thread in mind Sunday if we lose and you're ready to jump off the bridge.

Oh yeah, I feel ya there. If we lose Monday, the mods may have to just shut the board down for fear of people writing a bunch of suicide notes here.

It wouldn't be a big deal though. If last year showed anything it's that once they get it right, they really get it right and have the ability to rattle off a bunch of wins in a row. I wouldn't panic until we are 3-7 again.

Totally agree with you there man......I have got into it with some of the people here over this same secondary. I also believe that this Secondary will one day be our #1 strength instead of this perceived doom and gloom unit. As far as if we lose to the Bills this week...... I agree don't even bother coming on this man.
 
i will not be in the main forum on monday if we lose, it will be utter chaos
 
If we lose, I'm staying off this forum for a week, or until we win. I couldn't take the negativity and pain that would be expressed on here.

If we lose, this place will look like Jonestown when the 200+ religious nuts committed suicide down there.
 
I think it's almost as bad when we win too though. I mean if we win a game you jump on and it's like "Bennie Anderson to the Pro Bowl?" and then inside it's some guy that says

"what do guys think about bennie anderson i think he could go to the pro bowl he was wild last night blocking reall well and knocking ppl on their azzes hes one my favorite players what you think???"

Its alot easier to ignore when we're winning though :wink:
 
It definately would NOT be the end of the season ...

EQUALLY, losing to BUF at HOME does present some problems ... IF it were up in Niagra ... it would really mean NOTHING in the big scheme of things ...

UNLESS, the level of play was just plain horrible - with no sign of improvement.

That's all we need to see this weekend is some signs of improvement - and ALL WILL BE WELL !! There is still 14 games to gooooooo ....

LMAO, so true its funny.

I remember when Jack Hunt made the one tipped ball INT vs. Tampa I believe, man dudes was in here like, "I think Jack Hunt can be a playmaker for us in the secondary this year." or the best when Radar was making some big catches in one of those games . . . everybody was hype and then he dropped the Touchdown pass and all u saw was like 8 straight posts of "Cut" . . . or "Radar is officially not making the roster" lol . . I thought it was hilarious.
