i dont get it, your starting qb plays a couple bad games or whatever, and all of a sudden the backup qb is suppose to turn the team around? doesnt make sense. not just in miami, but alot of teams in the nfl want their backups in...they are BACKUPS for a reason, joey played below average today, cost us 14 points, but people are still saying he played a good game? he did his job, he played for daunte because saban felt that was the best choice for daunte and the dolphins. not because joey is a better qb. some of these threads piss me off because alot of people are rippin on daunte, no hes not 100 percent, and he doesnt have his speed back YET but he is improving everygame and will be a double threat once again. joey did his job, now he can carry the clipboard again

It isn't true...I am not in love with Culpepper our new backup QB and I don't want him back in.

CULPEPPER will not likely be the 'double threat' you wish this year -- or potentially the rest of his career ...

This 'single threat' version has NOT proven to be very good to date .... not saying that it can't significantly improve .... but he is a VETERAN ... this BABY-STEP mentality of 'improvement' is absolutely ridiculous

NO ONE on this site is claiming that HARRINGTON even REMOTELY resembles a SAVIOR ... more like a better version of FIEDLER [stronger arm] ... but he showed MORE yesterday with 'little' practice with the 1st team than CULPEPPER has all year.

As of now we have 2 backups. It's just that Joey is the better one at this point.:(

The only teams fans who love their backups, are fans of teams that the starter stinks !!!!!!!!!!!!! you don't see Indy, Philly, Cincy, fans loving their back ups.......

It's not a matter of always loving the backup QB when he comes in a plays well. Joey played a decent game. There was a different tempo with our offense that we haven't seen all year, and that's what we needed. C-Pepp is hurting right now, and it's not allowing him to play to his full potential. The rate he's getting sack will only increase the chances of him getting hurt seriously. I agree with Saban's move. Although some will disagree with this; but C-Pepp is still the true investment at the QB position on this team, and we have to take precaution and not risk injuring him long term. Let him heal now while he's not seriously hurt, and give Joey some time; that's why we traded for him in the first place.

Is it me, or did Joey look faster than C-Pepp?

That's when you know his knee is definately not right, and now you throw in a bruised/sore throwing arm; he shouldn't be in the game. That's a train wreck waiting to happen.

A couple bad games? I have never seen a QB look as bad as Culpepper. I'm not in love with Harrington, but anything is an inprovment over Pep.

Have you watched Big Ben lately? You're exaggerating man...

Yep, the reason is the coach decided one was a starter and one was a backup based on an informed guess. Neither had played in the team environment, and guess what? Coaches make mistakes too.

How did Saban decide that playing a worse QB (your implication) was the best choice for the dolphins ????????? Because, right now Harrington is the better QB for the Miami Dolphins, not 2 years ago, not in 2 years hence, but right now

Joey should be the starter. He plyed way better than Duante has so far. Duante needs to rest until after the bye and we will see where we are at from there. If Joey can lead us to victory over the Jets and Packers then we should go with him. If not, give Duante another chance. By the way the second pick he threw was tipped and was not his fault, So no he didn't cost us 14 points. And he also got rid of the ball much quicker causing less sacks. If we can stop the false starts we might be able to move the ball.

 funny you said that. I was thinking the same thing. Ben is just playing horrible right now. He continued this season right where he left off from his Super Bowl performance. We probably would've beaten the Steelers if he was playing.

Either you didn't watch the game or you are completely inlove with Daunte.

I said that immediately after the steelers game. I said Batch knows his limits and doesn't force things and make mistakes like Ben does.
