I saw only the first series because I was already bombed. all I remember was looking up for a sec and noticed clay got in the game but how did he look?

Nice linebacker separation for a 31 yrd from Moore in the first. After that not much at all. Looks very athletic, with upside potential

Hmm, we need to utilize him more and see what we have..but of course we won't, Sparano sucks. It's like they're scared to let em play.

i think he has ton of potential and create a mismatch with the lbs in that second series, but i dont think they went to him again after that

He looked okay, really raw still. It did seem like he was nervous but it'll pass. I think he'll be good with consistent qb play and if he stays healthy we might have a gem.

We will never know what he can do untill fat tony is history

He did look quick and more dynamic than Fasano. I like Clay as a #1 TE and Fasano as a #2. That's a potentially good combo. For the life of me I don't know why the coaches haven't made Clay more of a priority in the offense since he started in week 3. He can be a difference maker if used. But then again, I don't think our coaches know how to use their players effectively. Gates is another who has been abscent despite his great speed. Clay, Gates, and Bush, if used properly in the offense, could make plays for us.

He looked like he could make a difference in the passing game lined up as a TE. Of course the staff will probably use him as a decoy or a blocker.

I thought he looked really good. He definately has the potential to the be the seam threat that we've been missing for the last few years. I was surprised we didn't really utilize him after the first few series. He looked like a matchup nightmare for San Diego.

Are you really surprised? If you are you shouldn't be because the coaches have a history of not utilizing their playmakers. What they do by not utilizing the talent on the roster frustrates me more than anything.

we're flexing him out a bit more every week and getting him involved in the game plan...looked like on the 31 yard catch and run he released down the field into a zone coverage the way guys just let him run right by them at lb but it was nice to see us actually flex a te/hback out some and work him down the field...

there's definitely growth there and we're showing some things with him we never showed during the preseason
