How did Mohamed Masaquoi look catching the ball?

I noticed that he ran a disappointing 40 (4.67), especially considering that his estimated 40 time going into the combine was 4.45!!

For some reason I like this guy: 58 receptions - 920 yards - 8 touchdowns as a senior. First team SEC WR. His numbers were almost the same as Georgia's Freshman sensation (GREEN) who a lot of people are already calling one of the best if not the best returning WR in college football.

The SEC is supposed to be the toughest/best defensive conference but he managed to put up pro-like numbers.

If his 40 times goes back down to 4.5 range I think he could be a very good NFL WR, maybe even better than some of the bigger name WRs that will be drafted before him!!

Any SEC conference or Georgia fans have any opinion on him?

I was a college WR and i know a thing or two about this.
He looked pretty good catching the ball and he looked to have a good feel for the ball. He caught the ball with his hands and thats always a good sign. one thing i didnt like was that he took off from his heels making cuts during routes. this is a big no no in college and for sure in the pro level.
i like his size and looks like a gamer.
I wouldnt care too much about his 40 time. Boldin ran a 4.74 in the combine.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the 411. Don't have NFL Network but caught a little of the WR replays on NFL.com/NFL Network.com. On the video of the Senior Bowl WR drills he beat everybody and made some outstanding catches.

Did he run or not?? NFL.com doesn't have a time for him but NFL Draft Countdown got him at 4.67.

I just think he'll be a good to great Pro in time. If we don't go WR with our 25 or 44 then I would like to see us draft Massaquoi, Turner, or Robiskie with our 56 or our 3rd round pick.

I go to UGA, and I can tell you he is the drop master. There is a reason AJ Green came on so fast, Massaquoi couldn't carry his weight. There are never any good NFL WR from UGA except for Hines Ward. AJ Green is going to break that trend though, he is like the second coming of Randy Moss.

His numbers look nicer than they should. He isn't clutch. If you need a first you don't rely on him. He also isn't a big play threat. At least he is a nice guy. I wouldn't want him on our team though.
