I didn't get to see any fins games since they were so terrible they didn't get on prime time. So those who saw is he the real deal/juggernaut bitch?

he is a beast and he played pretty good but he had one fumble but he is a dominant blocker

I thought he was an average run blocker at best. To be honest, the fins need to find someone to compete with him and maybe take his place. He was supposed to be a good short yard runner but went down way too easy when he got carries. His hands are very bad as well.

Did they seem like rookie mistakes he could improve on or that's all she wrote?

If you talk to a lot of people on this board, they'll tell you that he's a great lead blocker i just dont agree. Anyone can get better but i feel Miami needs an upgrade at the fullback spot. All he can do is block and like i said, he's average when it comes to that.

When he got his guy properly, he did a fairly good job after that. He needs experience, and he needs better instinct of who to block.

He seemed to do a really good job "trap" blocking, where they'd let an defensive linemen get into the backfield for him to swing out from an unexpected direction and whack him pretty good.

No they did not seem like rookie mistakes. When he's running the ball, defenders went at his feet and he simply went down. No extra yards after contact, no punishing the defender to make him think twice about what he just did. Just not very impressive as a runner. His receiving skills are just not developed enough to be a threat in the passing game.

As of right now, Reagan is simply a blocking fullback, and a pretty good one at that.

He was just another one of Cam's hyped up picks. He got a cool nickname and everyone was told what a dominant blocker he is and everyone just went right along with it without ever questioning it of course.

Owen Schmitt on the other hand is an absoulte beast who can block, run, and catch. Did anyone notice his 40 time at the combine was faster than some of the running backs? Great pick late in round 2 or early in round 3.

The guy can hit. He can develop into a brutal blocker. That much was obvious. His running and catching as has been talked about here could improve however. Its important to remember that FB is a relatively new position for the guy. He's a work in progress that can already hurt you blocking. If he can improve on his running and catching he'll be fearsome

SCOUTING REPORT: One of the players the new regime thinks has promise is Reagan Mauia, who was solid as a blocking fullback during his rookie season. Mauia plays with the disciplined, hard-nosed approach executive VP of football operations Bill Parcells craves. No doubt, Mauia needs polish, but with his strong body and potential, he'll be groomed for a role as a powerful ballcarrier and a blocker out.

Agreed. He had some crushing blocks, but he missed his assignment about 1/3 of the time. Many of his misses were bad angles at the point of attack. It is clear he needs to improve his skill level. Basically, the jury is still out.

That is exactly what I remember him doing well. Had a pulling guard look on runs to the outside as well. I think the potential is there...
