It's a slow time for sports. This random thought came to me today. I've been here so long that I had to really think about it. I remember listening to the Joe Rose Show on WQAM one day, and a caller talked about the message board he posts on all the time, Finheaven.com. Never heard of it before then. Dude was passionate about it though.

How did you first hear about Finheaven?

I was alone, walking along a beach on the gulf coast, when a storm started to roll in. The darkening clouds did not scare me though, I stayed and allowed the rain to bathe me. When all was done a Dolphin came close to the shore and beckoned me with his fin to the water. I went with this beautiful and peaceful creature and as we swam the creature whispered to me "Tannehill will always be below average, find out more on finheaven.com.

There was a Facebook group (might have even been MySpace) dedicated to the Dolphins that posted the link. The guy who ran it is a member here, jason37.

My brother told me about it - how he heard about it, I'm not sure.

I was sitting in some news writing class in college and we each had a computer, I was bored so I started looking up dolphin sites, I stumbled across finheaven and honestly it has to be not only the best dolphin related site but also the best fan site

I searched "best god damn Dolphins fan site in the world"

For whatever reason FinHeaven showed up first in the search results :idk:

Cool question OP.

Funny story for me... I heard about this site over a decade ago from a Bills fan (still a great friend of mine) who used to post here all the time (he's currently banned)

There was a poster who used to frequent a now-practically-defunct Bills board who was engaging and invited folks over here. I'm mostly a lurker, but I do like the Culinary thread in the Lounge :-)

I can't remember exactly but when Ricky retired a few days before the season I shared my candid views on FH and was banned for 2 weeks. I felt like I accomplished something special.
There was a poster on here called Dirty Cash Holdin who was legit associated with the team. Don't know what happened to him but he had the dirt from the inside. As social media took off he went away. Anyone know who that was?

Web search for Dolphins information.

Damn. Given your join date, that could be true.

Good question!!! Cant really remember...damn weeds! but I visited for years before joining. No regrets so far. used to be on the herald finpost back in the early 2000s

Funny thing, I used to get "Dolphin Digest" magazine mailed to my house- Damn I'm old!

Well, although I don't remember it, apparently anger brought me to this site. I had to vent to someone who cared, and being an island in Southern California I had to go online. Judging by my join date (Oct 2010), it coincides with a recent beat-down by the Patsies (http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/20101...meinfo|contentId:09000d5d81b2bf90&tab=analyze )

Anyway, I'm sure I had something to say about Chad Henne's 3 INT performance. Thanks for all the support throughout the years, let's have a good one in 2016 !
