How do I get a pic in my siggie?

I am obviously doing something wrong when I try to add an image to my signature, but I'm not sure what.

The picture is saved as a jpeg. It's under the size limit. I browse my collection, upload the picture, and it always says something about it can't save the image. I have the pic on my C drive. Should it be on a photo site like Flickr or Photobucket?

Yes, you will need to use a photo hosting company for now.

I used to get that message all the time when trying to upload pics directly from my computer. Even though the pic was under the kb and pixel limit, there still seemed to be a glitch in the system preventing me from uploading. So I tried a few hosting sites and out of all of them Photobucket is the way to go. It's free and easy to use.
