Serious question. Those teams have faced as much, if not more adversity than the Dolphins and they are on track to both make it to the Super Bowl or close to it. The Patriots lost 2 of their best play makers to injury and murder charges, they have a bunch of no name players, yet every single season and week Bill B. seems to find a way to put a winning product on the field. No matter who is out there, and what the team looks like, he finds a way to win.

The Saints had a lot of locker room drama, players traded, released, coach suspended for a year, etc. He comes back and immediately turns the team into legit contenders with a bunch of mediocre talent. Definitely not much better than ours on paper, except for their QB. I still think Brees is a product of the blocking schemes at the line that Sean comes up with. He is always upright and has time to throw.

Now look at the Dolphins this year before even the drama began. They had a bi-week to prepare and play the Bills and instead we laid an egg the size of a car. They go into Tampa during a difficult week, the perfect opportunity to make a statement about our coaching, about our team, about the toughness of these players, about our QB (hell even our FANS showed up!) on Monday Night Football, and again they lay an egg in front of the entire nation. I was so mad when I saw all commentators pick Tampa, I thought they were insane! I though there is now way this team loses tonight. :rolleyes2:

I've been a fan since 1983. I don't ever complain or create threads very often after they lose to bitch and moan, even when we get embarrassed. I just don't get why this franchise, why the owner can't find a coach that will help this team get back to winning...consistently.

No I don't want to cheer for another team, I'm not going away, I'm not going to stop supporting this team, but enough is enough!

Don't forget Indy...they are the best example of how to tank it one season & spank it the next. Miami seems to be stuck in Washington Generals mode...a training field or whipping post for the real teams in the NFL. Good players come here to quit & future stars come here to learn how to play but once they do...Off to Indy.

Seriously, the list goes on and on. It seems like all other teams can figure it out (Except maybe the Falcons but they still make it deep into the playoffs). Seahawks dropped off and now are back in the hunt for the second straight year. San Francisco, Kansas City, hell even the JETS are probably going to make the playoffs again! The sad thing is that our cap is going to be absolutely screwed up for the next 2-3 years because of all the blunders Ireland and team made during the off season.

Players and coaches come and go, but the one thing that stays the same is the ownership. I guess Kraft and Benson know how to run a team. And then you have two coaches with strong personalities that have a large amount of input into personnel. We have Jeff Ireland.

Leadership from the HC.

You know, it's hard for me to look at Philbin and think he's a big problem. Clearly Ireland needs to go, that shouldn't even be argued anymore, and I don't even want his support group to even talk about it anymore, lets just get rid of him and be done with it.

However, Philbin put this staff together, and they have very little of a clue on how to make adjustments or work with the group they have. They all seem extremely stubborn. I have no doubt in my mind that Joe Philbin had a major influence on what players should be on this team and what players he did not want. He does unorthodox things like practice on days that 31 other NFL teams don't and runs 2 sets of practices claiming to be "more effecient". All that needs to be looked at if you aren't getting the results you achieve. Sure we have had injuries, so has every other team in the NFL.

I dunno, I'm all in favor of hiring a new GM and let him decide if Philbin is a guy who can utilize his best strengths of talent evaluation and won't shed a tear or feel we did him wrong if he doesn't fit the model HC a new GM would want.

New England and the saints ???? Maybe Brady and Brees would be the the answer . It's a little easier to over come things when those guys are your qbs . They were the aints and pats were the laughing stock of the east . Brady comes see what happens Brees comes and a Super Bowl.

How can you write this...

...and then two sentences later, write this?

You're arguing against yourself.

You're arguing against yourself.

Maybe I am . . . I meant to put "think he's the big problem (belongs to Ireland)" . . . I do understand he's apart of the problem. I want to argue the fact that he's a season and a half in and injuries, poor personnel, an oline that doesn't fit what he needs, etc. etc. . . . . however in the end, he's put together a real poor coaching staff and with this whole Martin/Incognito thing and his stubborn decisions and snobby attitude towards the leaders of last season.

I think the ultimate indictment is, you get rid of Brandon Marshall . . . a guy who would of been a perfect fit for this offense . . . for attitude issues. Yet you can't control your lockerroom and have a guy like Incognito on this team. Double standard at the finest level.

The sauce is Actual high-character players (not the crap players Philibin thinks have character) and leaders on the team with good morals, values, and integrity extending down from the coaches and GM to the players on the field. It's not rocket science.
