My first move is to start drinking more. Everything looks better drunk. Second, I trade Mike Wallace. He had 10 td's and he has speed teams really want. I could see a team taking him off our hands. If I couldn't get rid of him, then I'd just bench him. Gibson can do what he has done this year. Next I cut (or don't resign) Wheeler, Wilson, Finnegan, starks, Mathews, DT, Sturgis obviously. Clay can walk even though I like him, some team will offer a ridiculous contract and that'll be that, same with Odrick.
Next year my starters held over would be: Offense: Tannehill, Miller, Pouncey, Albert, James, Hartline, Landry, Possibly Wallace depending on what happens over the next few weeks.
Defense: Mitchell, Wake (unless we get a good trade for him), Vernon, Jenkins, Misi, Grimes, Jones and Delmas (depending on if he can be healthy and doesn't want anything more than another prove it deal or a 3 year 4 mill contract.)
I'd like to see Ellerbe replace Wheeler possibly, or maybe if we end up in a 3-4 he could be an ILB there. Idk. This team just needs a damn superstar. A real game changer. How long has it been since we've had one that performed like one?? Ricky is the last one I can think of. That was 12 years ago....
As for the draft I'd either grab up Trae Waynes cb from MSU, or I'd grab Kevin White wr WVU. Then second round I'd grab the position I didnt take in the first. Possibly a guy like Doriel Green Beckham or Ifo Ekpre-Olomu cb from Oregon who is super talented but may drop due to injury. Third round I'd start grabbing up offensive guards and defensive tackles like they were going out of style. During the entire draft I'd keep an eye out for a big fast TE that can replace the whole that Clay will likely leave soon. If one seems a perfect fit then grab him. If not then pray that the WR you got can handle the RZ duties. Because if we had a real RZ threat, like a Gronk, or a Graham, or even something remotely close to those guys, we would've been a playoff team for sure this year.
Top needs IMO: Big WR, CB, OG's, tough yardage RB, DE, TE, in that order.
