How do you think carries will be divided between Reggie and DT???

If Bush gets 60% of the carries as most are speculating, then he'll be on Injured reserve by week 6

I believe the Dolphins will spend a lot of time spreading out the defense. Bush will not take as much punishment from this set as a power running set. If you add in zone blocking, he might make a full season.

i could see dt getting the more of the carries, and bush would get 20 touches, running or receiving, like this tandem better than last years but i miss ricky

I think it will be something like this over the course of an entire injury-free season, but there will be games where Bush may get 15-20 carries one week, and then DT gets them the next week.

The board is having a group orgy that Reggie Bush looked great, which he did. But concern number 1 by all of us doubters here is durability.. and just because Reggie handled 10 total touches (8 rushes; 2 catches) and didnt die in Preseason Game 2, doesnt alleviate any of those concerns yet.

Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice.. shame on me.... fool me 6 years Reggie?!? then we are just plain stupid.

Less carries means more production for Reggie in his career and at least gives him a chance to stay healthy.

Well..Bush won't last all year carrying the ball 20+ times..we all know this.

If it was me I'd like to see something like 10 carries for Bush (15 touches in all) and about 20 carries for DT. Figure in Polite is going to get a good 2-4 carries depending on the situation.

Reggie is too much of a play maker to not get more touches, I see a 60/40 split with Reggie getting a lot of passes thrown his way...We need to use him to his full abilities! This guy is a stud and if he can stay healthy we have our selves a hell of a back field.

I gots a hunch that Sparano, being a stat tracking kind o guy, will consider Reggie's pass receptions as an equivalent to a carry during a game. Early to mid season, Sparano will play conservative and try not to overuse Bush so to decrease risk of injury. During the later point of a playoff push, Sparano will increase Reggie's touches per game considerably higher.

With that being said, as the Fins will swing pass to Bush often ( to create mismatches w/ a LB), I think that will cut into his rushing attempts. So early to mid season the rush attempts could plausibly look like 30% Bush to 70% Thomas (but with 5-10 pass attempts per game to Bush).

Reggie is one of those players that u wait to see get up after a tackle before exhaling. Makes no mistake it will be 70/30 in favor of bush, because of what he brings to offense its a given hes on field on 3rd downs. His speed should be a constant threat on the field not on a play off a play, give him that chance.

This. I was really surprised at the poll results and even more surprised to see that 30% Reggie 70% Thomas only got ~5% of the votes.

Now Thomas might not get all 70%, but Bush should be around 30%. Even 40% is pushing it for a scatback.

I agree. Touches for Reggie = catches as well. Be interesting to see if they line up Bush in the slot with Thomas in the backfield. Run or pass options out of that formation. Just hope Henne can not leave Bush out to dry coming across the middle of the field.

Reggie is 1 inch taller and 5 to 10 pounds heavier than Chris Johnson and Jamaal Charles. I am hoping we can find a way to get the same type of production from Reggie that KC and TEN have gotten out of their "small" backs.

i think maybe LJ can give thomas a run for the money for playing time
i wouldn't be suprised to see all 3 get equal amount of carries to keep everyone fresh
and have Reggie catching more passes on passing downs...
