Just watched highlights of the game and my blood pressure went through the roof when they showed the fake spike. I was yelling at the tv, "Watch the fake spike!" before that play happened. The fake spike is becoming a common thing these days. It's so predictable now. For the defense to get fooled by that is pathetic and embarrassing.

The defensive lineman didn't put any effort into that play. They are all just standing there watching Rodgers toss the ball. And Finnegan is giving the Green Bay WR a 10 yard cushion on that play when the ball is snapped. And on top of that, he had a legitimate chance of tackling him inbounds to end the game. Freakin moron.

And how nice of Tannehill to show up in the 2nd half. I guess he thinks the first half of football games aren't that important.

This team and its coaching staff are so wretched, its nauseating.

It's way worse to know that we're the team that started it with Marino!!! So embarrassed :boohoo:

The announcers were making a big deal over it and I was thinking the same thing. I believe it was even done in a game last week or the week before (not a Dolphins game). It was played exceptionally poor by Miami

That's what I'm saying. Fake spikes seem to be happening a lot lately. Are the Miami Dolphins not aware of league trends???? What the hell is going on with this team??? I'm just a lowly football fan, and even I had alarm bells going off in my head about a fake spike play. To fall asleep on that play is inexcusable.

I literally yelled the same thing before the Packers even snapped it. What makes it worse (as Tony Dungy pointed out on NBC), if Finegan takes a better angle to the sideline, he tackles Davante Adams in bounds and the clock runs out on that play. Game Over.

It's not only that it got them but the fact that we never do anything creative or intuitive. Why can we hurry up before a challenge or take advantage of a miscue. We seem to be unaware, unprepared, and don't take any sort of advantage when the opportunity is there. For ex, would we ever in a million years think to fake spike in present day? Me thinks no because that would take some sort of creativity.
