how does McCoy =RGII?

i have seen many people on here claim if we pick McCoy as HC we will pick RGIII in the draft?i dont see the math here.
 
its an assumption due to a couple of reasons

1) Miami has supposedly been in talks about trading up to the Rams spot immediately following the Fisher debacle
2) Miami makes no big name hiring, maybe instead going for a coach who shares the same vision as Ireland (RG3)
3) McCoy took the offense he built around Orton and totally configured it to accomodate Tebow, he has a knack for adjusting an offense to fit a QB.
4) McCoy was a QB himself
5) Its well documented that Ross/Ireland is aware that we need an elite QB (or at least a big name). Im sure they even shoot for Luck, even though itll never happen.
6) If Ross didn't make the splash he wanted at head coach, he is probably going to look to make the splash at QB. No secret that is what people in South Florida have been dying for. If anything, to protect his own pocket.
7) RG3 fills that stadium. I buy tickets if he is our QB next year.

If there's any corulation it's that he offensive minded and hopefully Ross and Ireland play off his strength which is working with qb's and creating offense so they trade for rg3. I can dream can i

Except nothing you just said ties McCoy with rg3. Speculation that Miami is trying to trade up, putting a priority on qb or looking to fill up the stadium is irrespective of taking McCoy.

McCoy doesn't equal RG3. He ask why people say that, so I explained an assumption

I saw that but im trying to decipher what you are assuming and how those assumptions tie McCoy with rg3. I mean even if I assume what you are saying as being valid, I could switch rg3's name with any qb and it would change nothing. If I changed the thread title to McCoy=tannehill, nothing changes in what you said.
 
It doesn't, there is absolutely nothing at all to suggest the Phins will get RG3 if they hire McCoy. Does anyone really think Ross and Ireland will go all out to trade up and take a QB when they didn't plan on it previously just because McCoy was hired? Even if all of this ends up happening there is nothing anyone here can say to make me believe it happened because of McCoy.
 
I don't see it. I think it can happen but don't see how it's any more likely.

Is it that people see RG3 as a better version of Tebow? I think McCoy would want to run from Tebow and get more of pocket passer.

Well, if you look at all of the stuff he said, you can definitely make the assumption that they want to bring in McCoy because they think he would be open to building an offense around RG3 and even making changes to it midseason if the kid is struggling.

Personally, I can't see Jeff Ireland trading up for a QB, but I think it's pretty reasonable to connect the dots and wonder if this is what's going to happen.
 
I think the reason people are speculating that we may get him is because it seems that Ireland likes him and how mccoy used a duel threat QB like Tebow.
