How far in advance do uniforms need to be chosen?

Anyone know? Cause I was thinking...if it's even possible, how awesome would it be if we get the flex schedule and play the Jets in a night game for the division title and we broke out the orange jerseys!!! :) I would really love to see this happen, not to mention after we destroy them the sales of those jerseys would go through the roof.
 
Why would you want to dress up like the crappy old tampa bay bucs?

the fish need to go back to their 80's throwbacks permanently, the 90's cartoonish update...while not horrible, was trying to fix something not broken.
 
I definitely think if we were to break them out it'd be under those situations. Not really sure what our record is wearing the orange. Although it doesn't really matter it'd be intriguing to see what happens.
 
honestly since we seem to never want to wear the home jerseys i would love to see the all white 80's fits
 
I would be ok with any of the jerseys worn by Crash in my sig. I think they look great.

Miami plays AT the Jets. The Jets wear Green at home. The Dolphins will be wearing White, probably with Aqua pants.
 
do people here not understand that the home team determines what uniform they wear? The away team has to work with that.

So unless we were playing one of the few teams besides ourselves that wear white at home (Cowboys, Redskins, Tampa on occassion).....anything but our white jersey is not an option.
 
two things...

first to answer a question I'm pretty sure our record in them is 2-0

I would fine with breaking out any kind of special throwback or alternate for the game though just to give us a little extra momentum. Whatever color it is, I just think it should be something different to get the guys excited and give the game that extra special feeling. Maybe they could where the jersey of whichever era they had the highest win percentage over the jets in?

i think the different colored jerseys have an affect in college sometimes, i'm not sure how well it works in the nfl. although i do remember the players wanting to go all aqua on mnf against the bears in 02. but yea with us being the away team we dont have much to work with.

I seriously doubt that the players think "Oh damn, we're going to lose because we have to wear ..." or "Oh great, we're going to win because we get to wear ..."

I hope to god that no player for the Miami Dolphins needs any special reason to get fired up for a Jets game.

I wasn't a fan of the ones in the late '80s because I thought (when wearing white jerseys) the white between the number & the stripe around it was too wide. Looked awkward, IMO. I preferred the bolder number design from the '82-'84 era, regardless of whether it was white or aqua.

The thing I was most skerd of (thanks Gonzo) was that the logo floating around with the Dolphin holding the football, was going to end up on our helmet. If they were going to go that route, they might as well make the dolphin squeeze Tickle-Me-Elmo. I doubt our opponents would laugh any less if they did.
