Just curious where everyone thinks the line should be drawn, and how stiff the punishment should be.

I like what Goodell has been doing. The punishments seem harsh but they're well deserved. It's about time players are really held accountable for their actions.

I agree Smoke. I think these guys should get hit hard for their actions. They are paid the big bucks, are role models, and public figures. If they mess up, they need to be held accountable. I am tired of them getting the “slap on the wristâ€Â.

As far as it needs to go. I'm personally in favor of lifetime bans for scum if their crap continues (pacman should get a lifetime ban if he's found guilty in the nightclub shooting). Vick IMO should get a year if he's charged, etc.

In real life ANYONE of us would lose our job for being involved in fatal shooting, or spent time in jail for dog fighting. You can't only "ask" people to change, you also need to be able to remove out the guys who don't.

There have always been thugs in professional sports, and there probably always will be. It's the out of control thugs Goodell seems to be going after, and he has my full support.

I like what the new commish is doing. Everyone should be accountable whether they can run a 4.2 40 or not.

Absolutely...I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!!

As far as the NFLPA is willing to allow them to go. The players are the ones who called for stiffer punishments. The players are a part of the advisory board so it's not just the Goodell who is handing down the punishment.

We've only seen major cases such as Pacman, Chris Henry and recently Tank Johnson. I'll make my judgements based on what Goodell does to players such as Joey Porter. If Porter receives a suspension, then it's just over the edge. Until something minor gets a big red flag, I'll hold judgement.
