“We both have the same almost type of personality where it’s laid back, not really too flashy type of deal,” Drake said. “I feel like we definitely feed off each other and I can see how he’s been the way he is for so many years, with just the way he puts his head down and works. I think that’s something I definitely want to mold into my game just because obviously of his longevity.”

No running back in the NFL had more rushing yards than Drake over the last five weeks, an impressive statistic he downplays because Todd Gurley of the Rams rested one week.

But Drake is a willing sponge for all the knowledge that he knows Gore can provide.

Personally I think this is a solid combo with a young star on the rise and a wily old vet who's done it all and can still contribute.

I've always liked Gore and he seems like a great teammate. Hopefully, we'll sign a vet that actually contributes. Seems like we've struck out on adding quality vets these last few years.

Very solid all around signing. Aside from what he brings in the locker room there is no question he knows what to do when he's on the field. Drake is ready to explode onto the scene but it never hurts to get pointers from someone with Gore's resume'. Kalen Ballage should be all ears himself when he's in FG's presence.

I don't think Frank signed on to be a cheerleader though, dude has some juice left and he should be money in short yardage situations.

I don't think Foster ever wanted to be here where as Frank has family and a large UM support base so this is home to him and probably his last stop.

I'm not gonna knock Ajayi. Dude had some monster games for us but I am happy with the current RB situation.

For sure, in a perfect world he and Drake would've been a dynamite tandem. He might've felt threaten by Kenyan's talent and using the 79th overall pick on a RB isn't a small commitment either.

Signing Arian Foster was the huge mistake there. Aside from the fact that he obviously had nothing left, I think it's safe to say most Dolphins fans hated him (because of Houston's success against us).

Which frank gore are you comparing him to?
The guy with these career stats of course.
3,226 att
14,026 yards
4.3 yds avg
77 td
443 rec

My sister lives out on the Left Coast and as a feature back in San Fran he was a beast and certainly headed for the Hall of Fame. Nice to have that kind of person around the young running back crew. You don't think so?

the way you phrased it made it seem like frank gore is a shadow of himself. Just looking at the last 3 years on a bad colts team, his production is otherworldly. He maybe one of the most freakish athletes to ever play RunningBack to perform like he has with very little dropoff.
