One guy that has been flying up some draft charts, according to some reporters, is Clint Sintim...in fact, Gil Brandt, NFL draft guru said this:

"Had 11 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss in 2008… Can play with his hands on the ground or in space… Has good strength and speed… Some college opponents thought he was just as good in 2007 as former teammate and first-round pick Chris Long… Most likely better than my rating."

But what position does he project at??? Is he a middle linebacker???? can he put his hand down and rush the quarterback??? It sounds to me like Brandt thinks hes a solid DE/LB option...and you know with Parcells' ties to Virginia he will get the goods on him but is he a realistic option for the Dolphins either at 1, 2a or 2b???

NFL combine
Analysis
Positives: Good height and strong lower- and upper-body build. ... Often plays as the elephant linebacker in the 3-4, where he will likely play in the pros. ... Good straight-line speed and will hustle to get downfield angles. ... Closes on quarterbacks quickly. ... Long arms and strength to secure the tackle. ... Shows versatility as a hand-down pass rusher on third down. ... Gets off the ball, can get under the pads of tackles and rip them aside. ... Generally holds up against OT blocks, and can occasionally shed to make a play. ... Takes on fullback blocks to stand his ground or create a pile.

Negatives: Might be considered an end-linebacker "tweener" by 4-3 teams, but he could fit as a strong-side linebacker if he proves the ability to handle coverage responsibilities. ... Wasn't asked to drop into coverage, and might lack the fluid hips and change-of-direction agility needed to excel in that area. ... Rarely gets into position to block passes in space or at the line. ... Needs to shed tight end blocks on the edge and make more plays.

NFL draft Countdown...

Strengths:
Excellent size...Long arms...Good athlete...Fantastic pass rusher and blitzer...Good strength...Tough...Physical...A powerful tackler...Looks comfortable in coverage...Does a nice job of taking on and shedding blockers...Decent range...Aggressive with a non-stop motor...Makes plays in pursuit...Solid instincts...Is intense and competitive...Offers some versatility...Productive...Has a lot of experience...A team leader.

Weaknesses:
Relatively average timed speed...Limited reps in coverage...Hips aren't real fluid...Tends to play too tall...Will struggle to turn and run in man...Does not use his hands well...Didn't make many plays on the boundaries...Possible conditioning issues...Minor durability concerns.

Here My opinion of Clint Sintim

Remind of :Keith Brooking of Atlanta Falcons

Clint is a sure tackles but not a thumper ,this is why I question Sintim playing
MLB/ilb on the next level.Always seem to make the tackles 3 to 5 yards down-field.
I question his closing speed for behind, but anything in front Sintim he sure to
be involved. He will miss some tackles for time to time .Clint is more of a grab
and tackles guy.

I think he is great. I love the way he plays and he would defintely would be an upgrade over Roth at the OLB spot. Getting him in the 2nd round with the Skins pick would be great. The guy is a monster and some say he is going to be a sack machine in the pro's.

as a guy who projects as a 3-4 strong side linebacker, how would he fit in with joey porter...is porter a weaside linebacker in the 3-4???

thanks...

Yes Porter is.

Sintim would be a quality addition to this linebacker group. It all depends where we go in round 1 . . . which I think is CB. Alot of talented 3-4 OLB's can be had in round 2.

I don't think he could beat out Roth. I'm not saying Roth is great, but he can definitely contain on run plays better than most, which is exactly what the position in or style of D needs him to do. Sintim probably would have an edge on pass rushing though.
