how good is lionel dotson? does he have run stop potential, is he any good?

I remember him being OK in preseason. We are stacked at DT so he was expendable.

Pretty good player. He really excelled against second level competition. Never seem to get a decent chance he deserved. I think it all had to due to coaching changes here.

I don't think you can mark him as a pretty good player, he got limited time, but looked okay. Development needed imo

He had potential but never really did enough to earn playing time here. He might make a really good backup someday but like someone said earlier we are pretty stacked on the D-Line.

He was always buried on the depth chart here. I remember one report early on where a teammate was saying he was the best pass rushing DL in drills, but that was really all I ever heard. Definitely has potential. Not sure if he can put it all together. It didn't happen here, but we got pretty stacked on our D line, too, so take it for what it's worth.

He got cut by the DOLPHINS and now plays for the BILLS. Does that sound like a good player to you?

What do the Bills have? Like 3 good players? I can assure you Dotson isnt one of them.

Akin Ayodele will contribute more then Dotson so take it for what it's worth.

Doing the limited time he had in preseason, he played well. He is a good player, who was stuck behind a very talented and deep D-Line. The potential is there, he just wasn't going to have much time to develop on our team.

What is it with the Bills always acquiring our trash players on defense that we greatly upgraded upon .

He really didn't get much of an opportunity to show what he can do. He was selected in Parcells first draft in 08, and has probably been well trained to have stuck around the past 2 years and not get cut. We are loaded at the position but it will still be interesting to see if he can make it.

He offers some position versatily by being able to play DE and NT. He does have some pass rush in his game, but he never exceled against our first team offense. Combine that with all the young talent on our DLine and it just wasn't a good fit for us. There is some potential there but I wouldn't expect more than depth from him. Think Kevin Vickerson as the most possible upside (former Dolphins DE that ended up starting for the Titans).
