Thats what ive been hearing we should do if we get vick. (yes another vick thread, leave without posting if you dont like it, please)

It seems a Wr would be more achievable.

I would like to see Vick make the team as a 3rd stringer behind harrington with the chance to play for daunte's backup. If we sign vick , i wouldve gotten one player i wanted in this draft.

and the fact that we didnt give up a draft pick for him makes me even happier.

i know alot of folks on here thinks he is a turd because what he did in the past, but let me tell you, we are all human. Ive done some phucked up things in the past, but i am in a constant state of change and i feel everyone should be given a chance.

what about you? what have u done that warrants another chance?

LIttle Vick does not have leadership. Vick can not be a QB. Maybe a RB

I think he's probably not worth the effort mentally, but I would be intrigued to see him at WR. Functionally on viewing him, I don't think he is an NFL QB. When I watch him, he has a very awkward delivery and as in the Miami game, he really doesn't have the sort of poise or moxie for an NFL passer when he pressure on him and when the safeties sit in the box spying and denying him the ability to create. He DOES have a very strong arm but I have seen him throw passes to the feet of his receivers on little swings, utterly inexplicable for a potential pro passer.

Can he be a running back? Well he's certainly athletic enough, but he tends to run from a situation where the pocket has broken down or where there are lanes that you could drive a bus through. That's not taking away from his creation abilities and his talent as a runner, it's just that when you are taking a handoff or a pitch, what you're immediately confronted with is a lot different to what he sees as a passer when the lane opens up.

Like I said, with the 4.4 speed and his size and what looks to be outstanding RAC abilities, I think Nick Saban will probably get him throwing passes this weekend, but also catching a few from Justin Holland as well.

Marcus vick will be a perfect fit for our system wehter we put him at WR or QB.. yes he has messed up in the past but we are all human. and i think coach saban would be the perfect person to set Marcus straight.. look at me for example. im 17 years old, was invovled in drugs since 12 and i quit.. i been clean for three years now.. and as for all my gang troubles im out of that lifestyle and i think the best thing that has happened is that i never got on police file. now im ajunior in high school and i enlisted in the ARMY NATIONAL GUARD to go to college and make something outta myself. with saban working with Marcus, i think it will work out.....

very interesting.. i dont know much about holland.. how was he in college? better than Vick? Im hoping to see him make the team as a qb or a wr/qb. I love scrambling qb's due to them adding another threat to our offense. Even in playaction, we still have a qb that can take off like a rb. Cant wait for culpepper to get healthy. Until then, i hope by some strange stroke of luck, vick gets some playing time and proves that he is a stud.

Im actually looking forward to the preseason this year with all the youngsters we brought in.

Oh Saban what can you not do? I heard he was born in one of those pods from alien and was sent to earth in a bolt of lightning, terminator style. True Story! Cross my heart:D

Little Vick played some WR already at VT. I think this makes a lot more sense .

4 catches is all.

Holland, personally, is a better PRO prospect than his predecessor Bradlee Van Pelt. The arm is pretty good, he can move, his size is pretty decent at around 6-2, and what strikes you is his short area accuracy.....he throws catchable passes. Plus he's bright. I want to see him work his progressions some more and I was disappointed with the somewhat varied nature of his deep ball, but he has tools to be worked with.

IMO, we should simply ignore Marcus Vick. Personally, I'm a little tired of these cases. C'mon ... 9 charges in just under 4 years?!? He has some talent, but do we really need him and his baggage?

Vick has had chance after chance already. I'm not saying he is a lost cause but you can only give so many chances then it is time to give a player who has good decent skills and is a good person the chance that you want to give Vick...

Our jails and prisons are full of humans. Many who have done less than Vick (if the accusations are true). Ricky Williams is out of football right now because he chose to burn a little weed on his own time.

If Vick can't control himself from stomping on an opposing players leg during the game or his thuggery off the field we don't need him.

It's not my call though. If NS, decides to give him a chance and he follows through, we will have to accept it.

To be honest though he isn't THAT special to avoid the baggage. Teams would have taken a risk with him perhaps, had he even shown a modicum of remorse at the Combine or at his pro day. Then the interview with Michael Smith compunded things.

I dont think he has 4.4 speed. And hes certainly no running back. Hes not his brother....he doesnt have the elusiveness or speed. I really think the only way he makes it onto an NFL roster is as a QB, and I doubt that happens with the Dolphins. The odds of him beating out both Holland and Lemon for the #3 spot arent very good.

Like I said, with the 4.4 speed and his size and what looks to be outstanding RAC abilities, I think Nick Saban will probably get him throwing passes this weekend, but also catching a few from Justin Holland as well.

I dont know where you get that from....he was never spectacular in the open field.
