When Miami took back the lead after the big punt return? Seriously, how many teams have we watched over the years would have simply phoned in the next drive and taken the loss?

The game against the raiders was a classic trap game. We had bigger fish to fry the week after (the patriots) and we could have easily looked past the raiders and lost this game big. And lets face it, when we saw Higgins take that punt to the house, most of us thought the game was over, because that's what we're so used to. A team that can't get it done when it matters.

But that is not THIS team. THIS team can get it down. Our young receivers are go-getters. They want the ball when it matters, and on that last drive all three had big plays. Ginn especially on that fourth down. AND, Carpenter didn't let us down, nailing the field goal. And then to poor salt ont he raiders wounds, Joey porter ended the game with a sack.

For the first time in years, i said to myself "We're not that team anymore."

Honestly, in the past ... that was the situation where I would have said, "Yep, here we go again..."

Yesterday, I calmly said, "We've got 4 1/2 mins. left - NO PROBLEM!" - and meant it.:D

And lets face it, when we saw Higgins take that punt to the house, most of us thought the game was over, because that's what we're so used to.

To be honest, I obviously wasn't happy and I was just pissed that our special teams looked like **** AGAIN, but I actually didn't feel that the game was over at all. My feeling was we've been driving the ball down the field in the 4th quarter our last few games, we have over 4 minutes to do the same thing and win the game. Sure enough we did just that.

It seems like in a few games this year after the other team scores we open up the playbook get agressive and march down the field for points.

Pennington really makes a world of difference for our team. I always feel like he can take us down and get some points when the game is on the line.
