How long until we bring in Drew Bledsoe or Vinny Testaverde? | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums

How long until we bring in Drew Bledsoe or Vinny Testaverde?

agreed. i wouldn't mind either. both BP and the system.

We won't. Henne will play for the rest of the year.

I don't think Drew Bledsoe is at all interested in a return to the NFL. I think we can finally confidently say Vinny is too old. Barring injury I say we stick with Henne, but if he goes down I don't think we go with White.

Come on now, those two are long and gone from the NFL. With Pennington out for the year, we WILL be signing another quarterback to be the #3 behind Henne and White. Bledsoe or Testaverde? Come on now.

Who could we sign? Brooks Bollinger and Tim Rattay are options. Also, yes there is a chance we could see Gus Frerotte back with the Dolphins.

You know who is intriguing to me, but is likely a long shot to join the Dolphins? Brian Brohm. He hasn't been very good since coming to the NFL, but was pretty special at Louisville and many draft experts projected him as the first QB to be taken in the 2007 draft if he would have declared. Sporting News actually said that he would have been the #1 overall pick. The team is likely going to want to bring in a veteran as a backup who has had experience on the pro level and who has started games, which likely rules out Brohm. Though, he is a very intriguing option sitting there on the Packers' practice squad. Why not take a shot at him?

Not a bad option, although we need a vet backup.
I actually like him or John David Booty.

Didn't even think of Booty, but yeah he would be an intriguing option also. My personal opinion is that Henne is going to do well and hopefully he stays healthy. I am not so sure we really need a battle tested veteran backing him up. That is why I would like to see them go after a developmental guy like Brohm or Booty over someone like Bollinger.

I prefer Stacy Dash Booty myself

What about someone from Ted Ginn's family?

As much as i'd like a veteran presence back there, i kind of feel like we might need to use the remainder of this season as a QB competition, give Henne first crack, if he plays well, keep him out there, if not give Pat White a shot with the same deal, but i'd want a third guy in there as well, either Booty or Brohm are interesting choices. Vince Young is a guy who is interesting to me only in that he doesn't seem to be getting any closer to beating out Kerry Collins in Tennessee, and he'd provide some Wildcat options as well, however getting our hands on him are certainly a long shot.
