How long was Marino's pass to Clayton?

ESPN did a bad job of covering the throw. They cut from Danny to Clayton and we didn't get a good view of the ball in the air.

Yes, I'm new here, I've been lurking for months. Love the site.

Ps- Dolphindevil, or any other people from New Orleans, please email me at gardenhead (at) yahoo (dot) com. I don't have enough posts to email you directly. I'm moving back to New Orleans and I need advice on good sportsbars. I'm not going to spend my Sundays at the Boot and I can't do the Sunday Ticket.

I'm sure we'll see a video of it posted sometime soon.

Hit 'em right in the hands. Danny didn't even take his jacket off.

I used to love getting to JRS early to watch Danny throw those 30 yard outs to the receivers and DB's. He always used to overthrow Duper just a little bit to make him run.

i dont think clayton was expecting it, nor do i think he thought dan could drill it directly at his chest

It was long enough to move the chains! 1st down!!

:woot: Allllriiiight Miamiiiii! Man, I am going to miss that as well.

I think Marino is the first HOFer to ever throw a completion during his enshrinement. How cool is that? I didn't see Steve Young scramble for a first down after pump faking it to Jerry Rice.

all I know is that it was a great finish for a great man....it made me feel very nostalgic.

From the ESPN shot it looked like it was above Clayton's head. Maybe he was just holding it up after he caught it.

The Marino thing was great, but that would have been AWESOME to see.

Yep, that was after he caught it. The ball actualy hit him in, the proverbial, numbers... square in the chest. Then again, my vision may have been somewhat blurred from the saline drops(yeah that's the ticket) I had in my eyes.
