I was looking at last years Compensation picks: http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/51566850

Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquiresin the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. The number of picks a team receives equals the net loss of compensatory free agents up to a maximum of four. The 32compensatory choices announced today will supplement the 221 choices in the seven rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft (April28-30), which will kick off in primetime for the second consecutive year.

With that said, we lost: QB Tyler Thigpen, RB Ronnie Brown, RB Ricky Williams, G Pat McQuistan, ILB Channing Crowder, ILB Tim Dobbins
we got:
QB Matt Moore, RB Reggie Bush, OT Ray Willis, OT Marc Colombo, NT Ronald Fields, DE/OLB Jason Taylor, ILB Kevin Burnett, ILB Jason Trusnik.

So if these compensation picks are determined last year, I'm thinking we could get probably 2

Thoughts?

dude Comp. pick are basic on FREE AGENT PLAYER SIGNED ...
not trade or CUT player by other teams (repeat that or CUT)

with that stated Miami could receive a 6th or 7th round Comp.pick..........

Maybe, and I mean maybe a 7th round pick . . . but nothing too earth shattering.

We should earn an exception for Colombo and be awarded a 1st.

Employing Jeff Ireland should be worth at least a pity #1 every season.

Similarly, our stadium.

Not a fair fight.

Obviously.....I Copy and Pasted who we got and lost...I Repeat I copy and pasted who we got and lost. Also in my mock below, I only have us getting one comp in the 6th but I could see it in the 7th too since comp picks aren't too great.

EDIT: Never put Colombo's name in BOLD, NEVER

Also, players who sign for the minimum do not count.

We should find out today.
