how many people are 2nd guessing pick, and wishing we picked the BC kid?

I'm not really, but the thought has crossed my mind, mainly because Mike Mayock is so in love with the damn kid...

he sh*t all over Jarmacus Russel and said that Matt Ryan would be a better guy to build a team around, i dont buy it, but I am double guessing it...
 
Nope. hes not a franchise QB.

Jake Long is a franchise LT.
 
No way! LOVE the way this is playing out. V. Carey will be great on the right side. Bookends and run game will be the best friend of our QB. Whom ever that might end up being. Really like Flacco and so does the front office. But neither here nor there until the game plays out today. Thank you Mr.Huizenga for putting Bill in the box. :woot:
 
Even if he turns out being a decent QB, the right move for us was solidifing the line first. No regrets at all!:shakeno:

I think Ryan will be a stud and I think the people that dont see it really get too involved with stats without looking any deeper into the stats. You continually hear he threw 19 interceptions but if you look at his interception percentage its not very high. I still think Beck had a very pedestrian 1 to 1 td to interception ration when he played outside of his conference which to me speaks to the opinion that his conference helped his stats greatly. That being said Jake Long was the best player in the draft, I rate him higher than Ryan and is the only player I would have taken over Ryan. I have seen no Qb do more with less versus superior competition in a long time.He had no top receiver, below average line(Cherilus is a first round prospect that stunk it up at LT last year and is considered much better at RT) and he consistently played against teams with much more talent.

I just heard 2 of those guys on WQAM go off on Mayock for slurping Ryan and NOT having McFadden even in his top 25 - said they lost all respect for him drafting and wondered what McFadden might have done to/with his wife. LOL
