After to hearing the "heart felt apology" by the partners in crime, I bet the NFL tries to bury this!:in_flames: These guys are a disgrace to the game. If Billy Boy doesn't clandestinely sneak another Johnny Olsen into someone's walk through next year, I guarantee they won't be the same team. They will still be good because of the talent on the team, but they won't be dominate and Brady won't be near as good.
 
The NFL is definately hiding something. Something about this whole "Spygate" thing still doesn't smell right.
 
Of course they are. New England is one of their most marketable franchises and with a poster boy QB to boot. I'm kinda pissed how obvious it is though, at least go through some motions. The only things they are doing are things they essentially have to do.

Yeah and it sickens me Kraft is still being touted as "Mr. Values" when he is just sitting by and doining nothing on his own.

They're probably hiding that it involves alot of teams doing alot of things to "cheat".

Cue the move to the correct forum by a Mod.
 
Anybody know where Jose Canseco lives? I have a stack of money to give him to put Brady on the cover of his next book. Hey, if the Pats can break the rules and think outside the box, why can't we?
 
Walsh is hiding on a golf course in Hawaii because he is worried if he comes forth, the Pats will sue him. I am sure they made him sign a confidentiality clause. The Pats and Belichick keep saying "it is over," but I think Walsh may sill talk....hopefully before draft day so the Pats can lose some more picks. :up:
 
They've already pretty much buried this by destroying the tapes. The media might not give up on it just yet but there won't be any further consequences against the Pats.

I can understand why Goodell destroyed the tapes, it's bad for the Pats (NFL's favorite team atm), and it's bad for football. People would be crying out for severe consequences like taking away championships (not exactly realistic) or banning Belichick, something that I guess Goodell wasn't prepared to do.

It sucks that the Belichick will get away with it, but that's just the way it is.

Kraft apparently said that there was no confidentiality agreement. That was reported on the NFL Network.
 
To be honest, Spygate got blown way out of proportion. Zach Thomas got in trouble not to long ago for buying tapes that gave away Tom Bradys cadences, and how is that any different then what happened with spygate?

The only real reason spygate felt so wrong as because the patriots were so good as it was, they didnt need anymore help. Otherwise what they did isn't really that big a deal. I'm willing to bet almost every coach pulls something similar to this, most are just smart enough not to pull it against coaches who used to work for them (I.E: Mangini)
 
Of course it's a cover-up. We'll probably never really know how deep this goes. NE gets caught red-handed with tapes, etc. They are forced to do something so they slap them on the wrist by taking one of their first round picks (second to last) and fine BB (who I'm sure was given the cash from Kraft). Then quick destroy the tapes and say it's all over. But wait, more people start coming out of the woodwork saying it was more than just a few games and tapes. It was the practice before their SB game with the Rams. It was many games and by the direct order of BB himself. A former employee is willing to come forward and spill the beans on them for a simple letter of amnesty. But for some reason, the league can't work out an agreement with this employee for his testimony. And now he's being attacked by NE saying if he has anything to come forward now. But without that guarantee, would you come forward ??? So once they've finished making this look like a big lie on the ee's part, we then say it's all over and there's nothing more to be said about this (So nobody else can come forward without looking stupid).
They don't want the same level of embarassment that MLB is facing now, so they are very much sweeping this under the rug before it blows into a big P.R. issue for them.
 
Without question, they swept everything. Goodall should have never destroyed any evidence, and Belichick should have been kicked out of the league. His latest excuse is totally ridiculous, and for all we know, the Pats could have been cheating for years!!!

Anyone who has to cheat in order to win, makes me sick!!...

LOL they have this was thier 3rd time. Kraft is building something new at thier stadium for the nfl. Thats why they gave them a pass.
 
just keep thinking back to that superbowl with the rams that NE barely won b/c they 'seemed' to know where the offense was going every single fugging time. if the rams had won, they might have been the ones to start a dynasty - they had the talent, NE would have been decent but not great, the fins would have made the playoffs way more, we wouldn't have to get personnel specific to stopping the patsies, so we would have been better against the rest of the league, we could have worried about offense a little more and not been just a defensive team, etc. etc.

i could go on all day about how the patsies probable cheating in the superbowl against the rams have totally fugged us over for the past 8 years i guess. their cheating is directly proportional to us sucking, and if i was in the FO of the fins, i would be having a shiitfit over this crap.
