How many snaps did McCain play @ Bears?

He played more today than he has recently. Saw him in coverage a few times and rushing the passer. Also saw him push Marshall off of Finnegan which means the staff must be starting to trust him to have him on the field late in the game...also could be that he's 6'4" and can provide some size against Bennett.

Week 2-4 he was AWOL but not through any fault of his own (injury, death in the family)...maybe he's finally getting healthy and back in the groove.

Those are the kinds of guys this team needs, I am excited about McCain....he's got passion and fight, once he gets his technique in order and puts on a little more muscle look out....Defense is starting to have an attitude...

Any oher rookies on the field out side of the usual like Jame, Laundry and Williams?

loved when he pushed marshall and got in his face. I like the guy a lot, needs to play more. don't know why trusnik gets the nod over him in anything

Just got through rewatching the game on NFL Replay. This defense is starting to come together. They are starting to trust each other and Jones is playing like he did two years ago.

As for the LBs McCain's coverage skills are very underrated. He has natural explosiveness to get into position to take away angles. He understands more than people give him credit for. Jenkins also has surprising explosion to make up ground when TEs make their break. Jenkins is great at covering crossing patterns and out patterns, but when TEs run at him and keep going down the field he seems lost. Maybe he knows he has help over the top and is supposed to just be covering underneath. Not sure but I would say at this point McCain is our 2nd best coverage LB behind Jenkins. What I love about this defense is how we are using the different pieces for different jobs. Players are being allowed to do what they do best and they are really starting to trust each other.

Taylor had a bad game but I still have hope that he might pan out, although I have to admit I am starting to lose faith that he will ever learn to just trust his skills. He still wants to grab as if he is afraid he is going to give up a big play. We really can't afford any injuries at CB. Grimes was hurt at the end but was walking pretty good. We can't afford to have him miss any time. He hasn't been playing great lately but he is much better than anyone else we have.

I saw McCain out there alot, i cant say i saw wheeler once though.

Wheeler was out there for the last drive, again. I don't understand why he's on the field for the last drive if he isn't in the game the rest of the time.

McCain was blanketed all over Forte on the Cameron Wake sack which was Cutler's first choice on that play. Wake was able to do his thing when Cutler had to hold onto the ball just a little extra because of McCain. That play was a thing of beauty I have watched about 30 times now. Wake had the wherewithall as the announcer said to instantly grab that ball while climbing over Cutler on the ground.

McCain had 8 snaps, 3 rush with a hurry and 5 cover. Wheeler had 11 snaps. We mostly had Misi, Jenkins, and 5 DB's with Thomas getting 26 snaps.

Well that's one way to prevent Wheeler from complaining that he shouldn't have been on the field...I still think he got 11 snaps too many.
