How many times have we had a 3000yd passer and 1000yd Runner ?

How about that 2001 season. I believe Jay was over 3000 yards . . .iono if Smith was over 1000, but I think he was.

Great question...

the answer is....

0 zero
You`re right, I went and looked and in `96 Marino was hurt part of the year, and only threw for a little over 2,700. Good trivia question Amars.

Smith missed out on 1,000 yds in `01, he did reach 1,100 in `00 though.

Damn, I know that was the year Fiedler had like 20 TD's, and Smith I thought for sure had 1000, oh well . . . good Trivia Amars.

Zero is the correct answer.

It is in a little column in sports illustrated this month. I was kinda amaze that the answer is zero. That will hopefully change this year.

Yup, Zero times for 3000 Passing and 1000 Rushing.

Same answer to the 1000 Receiving and 1000 Rushing in same season in Fin's History.

In the early years Warfield came close with but missed his 1000 Receiving yards in the Zonk and Kiick Running years (they both had 1000 rushing); and last Year Chambers did his part with 1000 Receiving, but Ronnie just missed with injuries holding him out toward the end, and Ricky missed the early games.

Actually it was Mercury Morris and Csonka who had 1000 yards in the same season. Kiick never got 1000 rushing.

Funny, I had Morris on my brain and typed Kiick...then went back to double check and you had posted my error.

Yes, Csonka, Kiick, and Morris were a great 3 headed beast and I stand corrected that it was indeed MM with the Grand and not JK.
