I want to do this because of the Browns - lions game I am curious as to where the Fins stand compared to the Browns on one end and the vikings on the other end scale.

whats funny is that the Browns had onlt 5 tds in all for this season and they just scored 24 points in the first quarter.

if the Vikes, colts and saints are at the top in points scored and the Lions Redskins , and browns are at the bottom where does Miami rank in offensive touchdowns ? just curious to know where we are ranked.:pop:

Miami is 13th in the NFL with 242 points for an average of 24 points per game. The defense has 2 TDs and Ginn had 2 KR for TDs. That is not a bad number for a team with their starting QB and RB on the IR, and no #1 WR. As you said NO and Minn are way ahead of everyone else averaging over 30 points per game, but Indy and NE are 3 and 4 averaging 28 a game. We are only a few behind them, and have Buffalo coming up.

Our offense has 24. Henne has thrown 6 TDs and Pennington and Brown threw 1 each. Ricky and Ronnie each have 8 rushing TDS. The other 4 tds were defense and special teams.

We are tied for 1st with the Saints for rushing tds with 16, and we are tied for 25th with passing TDs with 8.

well I have been pleased as a pimp in a crowded hoe house with Henne and if we could get Fasano on the right track and Camarillo too then that would help us I am so glad that we are not the seattle seahawks or the rams whose offense isnt near as bad as seattle's
I am glad we didnt end up with the duffus from Seattle or the guy from cleveland.

I think every Dolphin fan should have to meditate on your last sentence. So many people here are constantly looking for reasons to cry...Ginn dropped a pass, Ferguson is out, our play calling is too conservative...blah blah blah. We were 1-15 just two seasons ago. Last year we had the biggest turnaround in NFL history. This year we are 5-5 and have a chance to make the playoffs despite having 3 of our best players on the IR. Parcels, Ireland, Sparano, and Henning, should be sacred. Infaliable in the eyes of the Dolphans. Look at the Browns, Texans, Rams, Oakland, Redskins, Lions, and even the Bengals, they have all been rebuilding since we all hated Feidler as our QB. Turning around an epic loser like 1-15 is the hardest thing to do in the NFL. The teams I mentioned have all had about 10 years to do so, and only 2 of them have. Oakland has seen more top 10 draft choices flop, and coaches fired than we have seen losses in the past 2 years. Our offensive OC with our QB coach started an offense that not only helped us win games, but changed the NFL. I have Sunday ticket, and spent yesterday flipping channels. I saw Buffalo, Jacksonville, San Diego, and Philidelphia run the wild cat. The announcer of the Bills game said "every team now has the wild cat in their offense." Do we understand the impact of that? The last coach that brought a new offense to the NFL was Bill Walsh in the 80s.

I know have posted a few gripes, but we all need to think about how good we have it right now. 2 years ago after week 5 I had to do choirs instead of watching football on Sunday. What excuse could I have to get out of it? Miami was 0-5. Now the status quo of me sitting my lazy butt on the recliner everytime a Dolphins game is on is assumed, and never questioned. After the win on Thursday my mother law is even on board with me not being bothererd on Sunday. Thank you, Sparano, Parcels, Ireland, and Henning, from the bottom of my heart. I do not know how many horrible seasons I could have lasted.

PS: I used to think I would trade a decade of being awful to see Maimi win one Super Bowl, but then I lived through 2004-2007. Ugh...4-12, 9-7(Not bad but started 3-7,) 6-10, and 1-15. Those 4 years we did not play in a meaningful game. Those 4 seasons made me so thankful to have a team that is entertaining to watch every week.

According to nyjunc and the many debates I have had with him over stats, the 2 defense TD's and 2 kickoff shouldn't count in his book on the stat sheet.

Good thing he isn't keeping stats for the NFL. hahahha.
