I watch a lot of maine football and its not the greatest system and I know I’m bias but I’ve seen some good players come through, Lofa Tatupu (Seahawks), Stephen Cooper (Chargers, Probably will be a starter this year), Brandon Mcgowan (Bears very impressive rookie season for a UDFA). With saying that we should pick up Jermaine Walker LB out of Maine as a UDFA.
Jermaine Walker
Position: OLB
Class: Sr
School: Maine
Conference: Atlantic Ten
Ht., Wt.: 6-0, 232
40 Time: 4.85
BIO: All-Conference selection as a senior, leading the team in tackles with 114/9.5/3.5. Posted 98 tackles as a junior and 83 as a sophomore.
POSITIVES: Tough linebacker who forces the action. Plays with good knee bend and works his hands to stay off blocks. Fast up the field, explosive at the point and hard-hitting. Moves well laterally and rarely off his feet.
NEGATIVES: Under-sized and slow shedding blocks. Possesses marginal size/speed numbers.
ANALYSIS: Best defending the run, Walker offers potential as an inexpensive backup on the inside of a 34 defense.
PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
more A-10 guy’s I loved this season was Willie Colon OG whos been drafted by the steelers, and Marques Colston wr both from hofstra.
