Think about this if Culpepper was benched for Harrington how big of a fall would that be for him. Culpepper would be 2 years removed from a 39 TD MVP-like season. Although I haven't got that much memory of the NFL past about 8 years ago, I can't remember a QB that had so many good seasons as Culpepper and was regarded as a top tier NFL QB and to all of sudden fall apart as he has. I know a lot of people will say he's Moss-less but how come Moss hasn't made other strong armed QB's like Kerry Collins look great. I don't understand what may have happened to Culpepper to make him fall apart mentally, but there has to be something wrong maybe it is that he can't read defenses but I don't think thats it. Usually QBs are a bust as soon as they enter the league or fall apart with age and Culpepper fits in with neither category because he's only 30. So whats everyone else's thoughts about the whole strange situation with Culpepper.

If Joey Harrington gets a start over anyone over anymore it would be momentous. Momentously bad at least. It's like getting beat out by Barbara Streisand and Kermit the Frog on Celebrity Duets.

I'm not being over dramatic, I'm just saying how could a top tier QB that was great for all those years fall apart and be benched for a QB that was considered a bust in Detroit for no apparent reason. It's not every day that a QB that has been a great QB for so many years just fall apart in the prime of his career, I just find it strange.

It wouldn't be nearly as dramatic as u make it seem. CPep ain't 100% and if the staff decides that he isn't the best option on the field right now and make the switch, hey thats what needs to be done. CPep came off of a horrific knee injury, and obviously it has slowed him up . . . he is giving his all and if Joey can do better and gets the nod over CPep than its still LETS GO FINS for me. I thought CPep wouldn't even be ready this year, and I wanted to be fully ready . . . I'm excited to see him out there and whether its this year or maybe even 2 or 3 years down the road, I have a feeling he is gonna lead us to great things. It is not all about this year.

It's very possible that Culpepper is still feeling the effects of that injury. In fact, it's my opinion that is the main problem with him right now. If he continues to struggle and eventually is put on the bench, it'll be because he needs more time to recover. You know traditional thought has been that it takes about 2 years to fully recover from this kind of injury. The tissue heals in about a year-give or take a few weeks. But the thinking has always been that it takes additional time after the tissue is healed for a person to heal mentally.

both are bums.

lets keep the guy who throw the most tds
and the less ints.

and then hope nick pulls his head out of his
arse next year and and gives it up for a REAL
qb who is not injured or at the end of his
career and in a mind funk.

Remember...we don't actually want our starting QB to be benched.

That usually means something bad is happening on the field.

IMO, I believe this is the game where Culpepper gets it together a little better.

The quicker Nick Saban benches Daunte the better the fins will be. Its obvious that C- PeP is not the answer at quarterback. How many more losses do the fins have to get before people wake up!

It will show the team that we have no trust in our starting QB

Culpepper can't throw a touchdown to save his life. Unbelievable! I can't believe they havn't benched this guy yet. We couldn't beat the Raiders right now with this guy as our quarterback.

Daunte will need atleast 4 more bad showings(and this wasnt a bad showing) before they even consider harrington

It wouldn't be momentous at all. If Daunte gets benched it's because he's having a harder time coming back from the injury than they'd hoped. It happens.
