I've heard a lot of talk about being dissatisfied with our coaching staff, or front office personnel.

I would like to remind all of you that less than 2 years ago this play was the only thing preventing us from being the then first team to ever go 0-16.

If I told you all that two years later we'd have close to 20 or more wins and possibly make the playoffs two years in a row..... I'd be laughed out of FH....

Yet for some of you that isn't good enough.

The Buffalo Bills haven't been to the playoffs since 1999 and have had one winning season since then.

The Cleveland Browns have had two winning seasons and one playoff berth since re-entering the league in 1999.

The Detroit Lions, who have won one playoff game since 1957, have had one winning season since their last playoff berth in 1999.

The Oakland Raiders have not won more than five games since the 2002 season, when they lost the Super Bowl to Tampa.

The Cincinnati Bengals have missed the playoffs in 17 of the previous 18 years.

I bet those fans wouldn't mind trading teams.

Our Front office and coaching staff have done a phenomenal job of turning this franchise in the right direction. People are not perfect, people make mistakes, people are people. But the people in charge of our football team have proven that they know what it takes to win. These people, the one's on the field, the one's in the desks, the one's who hold the stop watches, will continue to change, improve and evolve as we see needed. We just need be patient.

Give these people a chance to be successful. Let these people build a team that is not meant to flicker for a season or two, but truly be solid from the ground up and be competitive for years to come. Let them build, give them time.

Some things don't come easy. Insta Superbowl berths are one of them. Especially considering where we were.

So I call upon all of you to remove your aqua colored sun-glasses, be reasonable, and see this team for what it is.

One in the right direction.

Quoted for truth! Preach it brother! :thanks:

Well written post and I couldn't agree more.

Totally agree. I couldn't take having a team like the lions losing for that long. Yes my loyalty would be seriously tested. I'm glad we are building for the long term. Nobody thinks about that super bowl winner that won in 2003 but since then never won more than 6 games. Build me a team that can go to the playoffs every year. I never ever hated on the 90's bills. True they lost 4 super bowls but they were good enough to go to 4 super bowls.

This should be posted at the top, just in case we don't make a run. Since the number of insane posts will flood the forum this would be a good reference.

No doubt Miami is heading in the right direction with the current people in place. They are repairing the damage done by previous administrations, basically everyone after JJ left Miami. The problem is we have been a successful franchise if you look at winning percentage, BUT most of us fans can't remember the last Superbowl Win by this franchise. The generation X'ers who were too young to appreciate the early 70's have been watching this team for 25+ years and have never experienced a championship.

I was leaving work today had the radio tuned to the local (Dallas) ESPN radio station.. I only caught part of the conversation.. but they were talking about Sparano (no doubt due to his december record).
They went on to start talking about how the Cowboys should go down and raid Miami's coaching staff.

I checked the site hoping for a podcast.. nothing yet if I see one with all the rants I will pass it along. Cowboys fans are pretty down on the coaching staff right now, and I constantly remind the ones I work with about how well our staff is doing right now.

Dallas is not doing that great these times

I've always appreciated your commentary rob. That's really sage advice. You are wise beyond your years young man.
