If Gus Frerotte became a star QB. Just about every other thread is about a QB that is not on our team that should be. I hope Frerotte comes out and proves everyone wrong. Then we can hold off QB talks for 3 or 4 years.

Yeah.... and eddie moore will become a probowler this year. I hope for the best, but being realistic does not allow me to see that. Although, even if he does great, we will draft a QB next year. He probably wont start, but we will start to develop him.

Frerotte star QB? Hell no.....

Frerotte average QB that throws for 2 or 3 TDs a game and limits his INTs? Absolutely

He won't be a caretaker QB, because we will be taking quite a few shots downfield, but he won't even be close to being as successful as 'Pepper

It would be sweet, but Gus won't be a star QB. He is too late for that.

3-4 years? Frerotte is already 34-years old. Even if he was to become a "star QB"(which to me is impossible), we'd still need a developmental QB. IMO, this is gonna be another year where we watch the younger guys and see who is worthy of keeping in the future, and next year we will be QB hunting seriously for the first time since when?

If Frerotte was star QB everyone would estatic. No one here dislikes Frerotte as a person, and everyone here wants the Fins to win. No one bashes him because they would be happy to see him fail. H-ell no, e just wanna win baby.

The sad truth is he has just not shown anything to support the hope that he will be a very good starter, much less a star.

Well you never know, it has happened before in the NFL. It would be nice, we can always dream I guess.

With good O-line play and all the good talent around him, Frerotte should do well. About 20-26 TD's and 3500 yards, but ONLY if the O-line plays decently - and with Hudson Houck and Nick Saban's no-nonsense approach, maybe that can happen.

At this point Gus is our starter and until that changes, I'm behind him 100% and I hope with game planning he hits those ones he missed in PS.. He has the arm, not very mobile, so it's really on our OL to come together.

If Frerotte plays well and we decide to bypass QB as a need we would be very stupid. We have no starting QB on this team. Hell play Rosenfels and lets see what he's got I guarantee he will do no worse than Frerotte.

Exactly. Everyone knows that I have supported Feeley from day one and if it was up to me, Feeley would be the starter this coming sunday. However, that is not my decision and I support my Dolphins through thick and thin, as does anyone that posts at this board after last years debacle. Regardless, Ferotte has been in the league for 11 years and at best, in his prime he could be described as a decent quarterback. The likelyhood of Ferotte holding the starting spot for more than this season is slim to none; the likelyhood of Ferotte holding the starting job past next year is exactly zero. I hope he does well and I hope the Fins win alot of games this year, just like the rest of you

And how sweet would it be if Michael Jackson, was actually a mega hot super model girl in one of those zipper costumes like on the Osbournes pepsi commerical, and all these years we had all been fooled.

I hate these type of questions.....:o

Yeap. I would love fir Gus to do a Gannon-esque rise to elite or close to elite status for a 3 year period, that would mean we were successful. Just cant bank on it, for very Gannon, there are 100 Rob Johnsons.

Throwing two or three TDs a game would make him a star even if he threw a couple of picks. But I dont think either of those will happen. He probaly will average 2 or 3 picks and limit his TDs
