Active Roster
Championship teams are built through the draft. I went onto MiamiDolphins.com and looked at our all-time draft. Here's who we have left on our roster from the last several drafts:
1998 -- None. (Note: Patrick Surtain traded for Matt Roth pick.)
1999 -- None.
2000 -- None.
2001 -- Chris Chambers, Travis Minor. (NOTE: Matt Turk obtained using seventh-round pick.)
2002 -- Seth McKinney, Randy McMichael. (NOTE: Ricky Williams obtained in part using first-round pick.)
2003 -- Eddie Moore, Wade Smith, Taylor Whitley, Corey Jenkins, Yeremiah Bell. (NOTES: Ricky Williams obtained in part using first-round pick. Moore, Whitley, and Jenkins likely to be released this afternoon. Smith expected to go on injured reserve.)
So six years of recent drafts -- covering both the Jimmah and WannSpiel regimes -- have given us three offensive starters, one defensive starter, three backups and a punter.
