They way things are looking would anyone agree that the way the phins are going to stay in football games enough to win is to have a very good defense and a very good offensive line so we can run the ball alot, until a QB takes control you have to have shorter to intermediate passing game, If they could trade for quality WR, the offense may be more productive because opposing defenses wont stack the line.

First and foremost.....leave Beck off the field. That will go a LONG WAY in staying in games.

I get that you are not impressed with the guy but I really dont understand passion and fire you have for spewing out venom towards him. Someone musta really pushed your buttons good on this topic.

If he is as bad as you believe he is do you really think the new coaching staff will play him? I don't!
personally I have no love or hate for the kid. He is a draft pick that may or may not pan out. For the sake of the team Im rooting for him but you seem to be blinded by hate for this guy. What gives???????

None of our QBs has impressed yet enough for me to be able to agree with you. I don't think McCown or the rookie are a LONG WAY better than Beck. That isn't saying a whole lot about how any of these guys are doing at this point. Of course, TC is only a week in.

As to the topic, I agree that the running game needs to be solid. If the D picks up, it may be enough. While it is pretty low to be more excited about your coverage team on ST then your passing game, we may have drastically improved there which should help us with field position and therefore may give us an added step in keeping us in the game. And if Ginn can have the type of year he had without stupid holding penalties, or if Foster plays even better, we may be able to stay in games because of ST.

Our M.O is to stay in games, we do that every year, what was it six losses by three points or less last year, and seven or eight by only ten or less? Tell me that hasn't been a common occurrence over the years. The Dolphins always seem to put up a fight in games, it's not that i'm worried about, it's finishing the games and turning those three point losses into victories.

Despite being 1-15, we didn't get blown out that often. If we keep pounding Ronnie Brown, then we can be competitive in any game. When McCown starts winging it around the field, we have already lost.

Just ride the R&R train and we will be fine.

i like to ride the Parmele late sometimes too....

wouldnt it be awesome if we had a 3 RB situation that could keep Ronnie and Ricky healthier throughout the season. that would be perfect, especially with a defense that if meshes well, could totally improve and give these guys more chances to be on the field.

R and R express, with Parmele, play a bend but don't break style of defense.

Smart passes from the QBs.

The thoughts of this gives me nightmares. We played this type of defense in the 80s and part of the 90s and it was difficult to watch. A lot of the players hated it to.

Seeing as we're a bit limited on that side of the ball for right now, I guess it would have to suffice. It usually blows up in your face if you play that style, and if we did, I'd hope it wouldn't be for very long.

If we were playing the 4-3 then the bend but don't break style of defense might be employable but the 3-4 does not lend itself to that style very well.
