First off, let's give the Dolphins credit for allowing Chad Henne more reign on the offense and allowing him to call audibles at the line of scrimmage. Having a healthy Clay and Thomas, using Johnson in short yardage should help the running game.
Now on to the main topic of stopping the no huddle which you know the Dolphins will see plenty of from the Texans after watching game film from Monday night. Chad Henne took control of the offense, we need a leader on defense to co-ordinate the front seven and another leader to make the coverage calls for the DB's. Why not use hand signals to make sure everyone is one the same page?

thats a good start, hopefully miami gets the memo that they need to correct the defense of problems and fast.

Hand signals help (although you have to worry about the opponents sidelines stealing hand signals, and relaying the info back to their players on the field).

Our bigger problem was that we were sometimes trying to substitute players when the Patriots were going no-huddle. As a result, we were often caught in total disarray. Too many players on the field, or the ball was snapped before our defense was even lined up.

We should only try to substitute players after we see the Patriots huddle.

I remember seeing Brock Marion, Madison, Surtain, and Buckley using hand signals before. I guess Nolan doesn't emphasize it?

I am not so sure they can steal it when they are trying to get the play off before we are set, that is the purpose of the no huddle... you can't substitute and it causes confusion...maybe hand signals will fix the confusion part.
