First off I will like to say that the DOLPHINS are our team that goes for both the bandwagon and the diehard fans we just can be in the same room together. But back to fixing the team, I am no GM, but I gave a lot of thought into this after going to two games this year (GB and KC) and I see how good we are and how bad we are. Lets start at the top...
1. Saban he doesnt need to be fired, he needs a OC that is a offensive mastermind not who thinks he is one (imagine Linehan coached Off this year). He is what is best for this team (we dont need to kick him to the curb like we did Shula the defense plays just not the offense and we know that is not his specialty)---NEW OC
2. OC---NEW
3. QB---Daunte (but we do need another future QB from the draft not someone elses backup and etc)
--Backup QB (let Lemon play and see, cause we know Joey can manage the team but he doesnt give us that get over the hump type QB we can trust coming into a ball game late to win the game and as a starter he takes to long to get into a flow, when he does its to late)
4. RB we are good, but we need a hungry backup w/speed not possession, i love Sammy M. but nothing again TMinor (but we need a ST player that can do something on offense)
5. WR (Draft a burner period, people dont fear our WRs and if they do its only for the beginning part of the game once they see what we run they change the game plan to fit that.
6. LT/LG (I dont know about Free Agency, but we need to revisit our roots...90 draft Webb and Sims...bookend for the future
7. TE (i have to admit McMicheal isnt going to get any better regardless of the QB trade him while he still worth something, cause unless he gets some new hands he is going to have the same problem again next year.
8. DL (we good, trade Zgonia for a pic (if he is sign for another year)--he is taking up space---let evans, vickerson, or wrigth play)
9. LB (we need another ZT---willis anyone)
10. CB (we need a shut down CB and then draft one every year for the next three years during day 1) Free Agent Clements and/or Samuel have that swagger (former tbuck, surtain, and a young Sam)
11. Kicker (pleasssssseeeeeee)
12. P (we good)

So here it goes (means signing or drafting this type of player)

QB
Daunte Culepepper
Joey Harrington or Cleo Lemon (trade the loser) or Free Agent
(Drafted QB)

RB
Ronnie Brown
Sammy Morris
(Drafted Jones-Drew or M.Turner type---if Pitt can do so can we--W.Parker)

FB
Barnes vs Eckel winner
(I suggest draft Leonard from Rutgers instead)

WR
C.Chambers
Hagan
Wes Welker
Vick (seriously give him a chance in the last 2 games)
(Draft Steve Smith or Colston type--small, quick, and sure hands or Big, speed, and playmaker) (I suggest Jermain Corneilus or Dallas Baker if i were to use UF players)

TE
Trade McMicheal
Sign Daniel Graham
(Draft a TE either 75/35 pass/block or vice versa)

LT
Alabi
Resign McIntosh if we can't find a versitale backup---but not career backup brought in to start
(Draft one 1st Day who is worth it)

LG
Toledo (Seth Backup)
Release Jeno James---To much money for nuttin
Dra

C
Fine (Hadnot had to deal with the left side to much to truly excel
Draft (Center next year)

RT/RG (we good) the best we have on the line---one good personel move that has paid off

DL
We are set we just need to stop giving the old timers all the time and let the young ones have a piece of the action, look at Roth and how he has come along, i believe evans, vickerson, and wright have the same engine.
Trade Zgoniza (prv stated)
Resign Holliday only if the money is right
Release Wilkerson
Resign the Tractor Traylor till the wheels fall off
Rework Carter Cap (cause he is looking more expandable every game due to the play of Roth)

LB
Draft Willis (another ZT--no comparison just comparing the heart and dedication)
Release Spragan
Sign Adalius and Draft another LB

SS
Draft one only if one that is a franchise safe falls into our lap (nelson or landry) if not we good Bell and J. Allen

CB
Sign Clements or Samuel
Draft one day 2 or late day one if we traded for another pic.

I know allot of this is over the top but the idea is that we must let get our own players a taste of the field and see if they are hungry enough to take it. People could say we were putting Y.Bell in cause we where losing 1-6. look what happen after that, and he didnt have no real game time experience. So do the same for Cleo, Evans, Vickerson, and Vick. even J. Allen. i man will show his true colors on the field especially if he wants to stay there, look at JT and ZT, not like the premadonnas like McMicheal and possible Chambers (i will give him the benefit of the doubt for now)

Thats my long 2cents

Don't agree with the offensive line decisions but that is the only part I read so can't comment on any of the other postions.

Ricky should be back next season so I don't see any possible way we draft a running back this year. We have depth at the position and without an OL it doesnt matter who we have back there.

With Ricky and Ronnie in the same backfield I could see Miami running teams over in the running game.

So all we need to do is draft basically another team and get a team to give up a draft pick for Zgnonia who is nearly older than Saban?

Here's my plan for the offseason and roster for 07.

QB-Keep C-Pep, Joey and Lemon. Could sign Huard or Garcia, but probably not worth the extra money or much of an upgrade over Joey.

RB-Ronnie, Ricky, Sammy, Minor and Barnes. Wouldn't change anything here, although Barnes could be replaced. Keep Minor and Morris around for special teams as well.

WR-Chambers, Booker, Welker, Hagan, 3rd-4th round pick. Would be nice to get a speedster in here, but FA market doesn't show many.

TE-McMichael, Peellee, Massaquoi or FA. Not much change here, but no need. McMichael still better than half the TE's in the league.

LT-Sign William (Tra Thomas) from Eagles. Is 32, but has only missed 10 starts in nine years, a solid leader in the locker rooom and still has 2-3 good seasons left. Alabi as back-up.
LG-James-Not great, but not terrible either. Need to keep some continuity on this line. Toledo as back-up.
C-Hadnot, draft Ryan Kahlil of USC in 3rd/4th.
RG-Shelton, a bit overpriced for a guard, but has done a nice job over there. Re-sign McKinney to serve as backup at G/C.
RT-Carey with Alabi backing up.

Special Teams-Keep Denney and Jones. Mare is a toss-up. He has been inconsisent, but his kickoff's are still among the best in the league and replacing him would be expensive and no guarantees.

D-End-Taylor, Roth, Carter (at a restructured rate, he likes Miami and I think would return), re-sign Bowens.
DT-Re-sign Holliday, Wright, Evans or Vickerson, sign Terdell Sands as a FA. Big run-clogging DT who would be ideal fit. Draft DT in mid-rounds.

OLB-Crowder, Draft Woodley from Michigan. We'll probably draft in the 10-15 range and he will fall somewhere in that area, maybe even a few spots lower which could allow us to trade down. Would be a great fit as DE/OLB and gives us another impact player on edge. Sign a low-priced FA and a late-round pick to add depth.
MLB-Thomas and Pope.

CB-W. Allen, Daniels, Goodman and draft Aaron Ross in 2nd. Brings size and versatility to secondary.
S-Bell, J. Allen, Hill and a low-priced FA or late round pick for depth. Could also consider giving W. Poole another shot, but he's probably finished.

This isn't a high roster turnover rate, but that might not be a bad thing as drastic changes have probably contributed to slow starts past couple of seasons. An infusion of youth, not overspending in FA market, and giving some younger players (Wright, Toledo, J. Allen, Hagan) a chance to contribute.

Just how many 1st day draft picks are they giving to each team these days?

maybe we can package chris chambers, mcmike and our 1st rounder (#10) to the raiders for randy moss, raiders 1st rounder (#2) and 2nd rounder (#34).

Dang I feel like a 5th grade teacher trying to get a grasp of a History paper from my most "challenged" student, HORRIBLE I stopped reading on the Willis part in the first paragraph, WE DONT NEED ANOTHER ILB!!!!!!

Crowder will probably move inside when Zach goes.
This team could use upgrades all over the place.
Zgonnia is a free-agent, isn't he? Can't really trade him.
