Most of our veterans or experienced players are banged up with pretty serious injuries and on the decline. Trent Green (concussions),Zach Thomas (concussions),Jason Taylor(back problems),Porter(knee),Y.bell (knee),Andre Goodman(shoulder problems),R. Hill(knee),R. Brown(knee),Ricky Williams(weed, injuries). After reviewing the free agent market most of the talented players look like they will be re- signed and the few left after that will command a boatload of money and/or draft picks.IMO this dilemma is what is making our mess so hard to correct. Quality veterans allow you to be competitve and allow the rookies to be trained correctly and inserted at the right time.I'm guessing we could see more Keyshawn(old vets that know the parcells system) type guys and probably mediocre Dallas castoffs because at least they know the system and both are realistically affordable. My question is what approach do we take to get solid healthy veteran leadership to teach our draft picks and allow us to be competitive? The more I look at our roster I can't even really name one spot where we have a guaranteed reliable experienced healthy starter.
