How to Stop J.J. Watt

I have said this before over the years....If I was the coach I would tell James that every time he jumps to put him on his ass hard either by pushing him or pulling his feet!

James 1 on 1 against Watt is going to get destroyed anyway you slice it

There is no stopping JJ, only hope he doesn't absolutely destroy you.

Short of that, I'm not sure you can. :idk:

You've just gotta hope to contain him.

Roll a tire out on the field. That big dolt won't know as to whether he should make a tackle or flip the tire 30+ times.

Cannot watch Casino because of that scene, way too much for me.

Quick pass reactions by Tannehill, read-option run in the opposite side of Watt's set, or just double team the dude - or - just tackle him low.

If nothing works, have Matt Darr kick the guy squarely where it hurts (twice! for good measure).

:rolleyes2:

I was just thinking about how much I love that movie while watching that scene! lol

Edit: Oh and Watt scares the hell out of just about everyone he plays, guy is a specimen.

Sub Olivier Vernon in on the oline and tell him to "aim low"

In all honesty you don't "stop" JJ Watt, you just keep him away from the ball as much as possible.

We could use Mean Machine cheerleaders

After all, JJ has no girlfriend

I agree. Run the ball and quick passes. Don't let him have time to get to the QB.
