I believe the Dolphins will end up rescinding the tag. I think he is asking for too much money and don't think the other potential NFL teams will cave in to his demanding 14 million per season, while giving up a 2nd round pick. I think the other teams will wait until the Dolphins rescind, allowing his price to come down to around 11-12 million.

Nah they won’t rescind.

The cap isn’t a concern, let him play at 16 million and retry next year.

I think he ends up signing a long term deal for less than I thought he would...

Traded for a pick. That's the most likely scenario

Traded for a pick is the way I think it will go.

Personally, I think a trade with Cleveland is in play. It'd make sense too.

Swap 1st rounders with Cleveland (#4) and give then Landry. Then, Miami either has a chance to get Chubb/Nelson, or Miami can trade back and acquire even more draft capitol.

Or what about just taking their 2nd round pick (and anything else to sweeten the pot?) and staying at 11.

I think we'd get more value moving from 11 to 4. It's purely speculation on my front but it's an interesting one, IMO.

It would also give us ammo to, for example, trade with Arizona if they were coveting a QB high in the draft. We would then be able to get multiple picks from them.

Crazy idea but not a bad one. If we did move up to 4 thought I'd think the FO/HC would have a player in mind that they want so trading back down probably wouldn't happen. All this could have been avoided if we hadn't won a couple of stupid games that didn't mean anything late in the year. We could be drafting 6

Ozzy rules!!
