Hadn't seen anything like this yet... got the idea from CW's post about how you watch 'Phins games in the Dolphins main forum.

Feel free to post whatever... This is kind of a, "this is what I'm doing for the draft"/ "I can't wait for the draft" thread.

I myself am fricken wired. I can't wait! I'm planning on doing this year exactly what I did last year. I showed up at the local Buffalo Wild Wings at 11am when the doors opened, and so my day began. My brother sat with me through the first round. We ordered some Nachos and Beer. He left at the end of the first round and my fiance showed up to eat early supper with me there. Got some wings and soda. The employees there were great. They took care of us Draft Fans like champs. They were completely fine with us being there pretty much all day.

There were about 6 little sects of fans. Bears (obviously, as I'm in Illinois), Rams, Packers, Browns, and Raiders (??? go figure)... and me, the lone 'Phin fan... I must say, I took a lot of flack for the Ginn pick, lol. But then the Cleveland fans got it worse when they sold the farm to move up for Quinn. It was a blast. Ended up leaving around 7 after about 1/2 an order of Nachos, some beer, some soda, and 20 wings later (spread out over about 9 hours of course!) All in all, a great experience. I love BWW on gamedays, and my first trip there for the Draft was no different!

Anyway... Day two I took it easy and watched from home, nice to sit back and relax and watch the picks roll in... good change of pace from day one.

All in all, last year's draft was a blast. I can't wait for this year's. Draft day is probably my favorite sporting event (Next to some of the College Football Rivalry games). I absolutely love the draft. I pimp it out as being better than the Super Bowl to all my friends, but no one else agrees. They have to watch it with me in shifts... lol, a couple hours here or there.

Oh well, here's to this year! :beer1: Only 12 days away!

Just a heads up to everyone who doesn't already know.

The draft starts at 3 pm this year.

I will be at a huge draft party at a friends house. We have been doing this for about ten years straight.

Keg of beer lots of food.

Hell of a party!

I'll stay home and probably do what I always do. Wear one of my Dolphins jerseys, flip whatever Dolphins cap I'm wearing backwards, wear my lucky boxers, and play Enter Sandman. Also, I buy my favorite beverage the week before, that way it'll be icy cold when I pull it out on Draft Day. I don't know what I'm cooking this year, I'll probably have decided on something by next week.

Draft party at my house in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My entire fantasy keeper league will be coming out, we'll be barbecuing and making fun of the Lions fans...because even when we have the first pick in the draft, we're still thankful we don't root for the Lions.

Yeah I had planned my usual vegetative state all day Saturday, but with the late start time, I will actually have to be productive before it starts.

I will take off around five to go to the Arkansas spring game and hopefully make it back by the time the second round starts. Sunday I will skip church and wake up in time to start the third round at 10 am (11 EDT).

I hate the later draft time. My routine in the past was to sleep in then wake up about 2 hours before the start and read through mock drafts/articles and watch draft shows, but the 3 pm start time and only 2 rounds is more for a party. I guess on Sunday i will go back to my couch routine.

i love the later draft time, my cousin is gettin married at 12 so i thought i was going to miss it, but ill be able to at least sit at the bar during the reception and see who we pick, if there is any drama left in it.

i half to go in and work oh well..there is a radio always around somewhere

Trying to stay as far away from sharp objects as possible...I can't live with another Ginn/Quinn bombshell.

Yep, seems pretty stupid to me too. The NFL tried to short'n the draft, so they shortened the picks in rounds 1 and 2, but then moved round 3 til Sunday, and moved the start time to 3 PM??? WTF? Doesnt make a damn bit of sense to me ... so now Saturday will be shorter with only 2 rounds but it starts later (so it will probably be over right around the same time as last year!) and Sunday now has 5 rounds and starts earlier. Sunday is going to be brutally long but ...

I'll be on my couch watching every second of it!
