How would grade this play by Hunter Long?

How would you grade this run blocking by Hunter Long on this play? Not so much his overall plat.

Points to note Robert Jones 65 has a nice block along with Austin Jackson 73. I believe Long was going against a DL but I can’t confirm.



For the sake of the poll C is average or didn’t affect the play.

He did what he needed to do and the result was a TD. This was against a big boy so "A"

I'd say very good considering the guy was a DL and bigger than him. He held his point long enough to neutralize the defender. I gave a B grade. IMO would be an A if he controlled the block through the whistle and didn't get overpowered at the end.

I gave him a "B". He engaged, stood his man up long enough for the RB to get through the hole before he was over matched. Overall, I would say good effort

He did a good job. Dude he was blocking is nearly 300 lbs. At the end, he fell over backward, but it seems both feet were caught on other Dolphins.

Hard to give someone the highest grade possible when he doesn’t move his guy forward, but given the context no lower than a B

Austin Jackson was the star on that play. He crushed someone on the counter Block.

He did ok. And Austin Jackson might cut it at guard after all. Seems to finding his groove there finally.

Personally I was quite impressed by Robert Jones on that play along with Jackson, Long and Duke

It was a little ugly the way he got blown at the end, but he committed no penalties against a larger guy and held his block long enough.

Hard to sit here and discuss this against a defense that ranks among the worst at stopping the running game lol.

Not specifically, but that was his overall pass blocking grade for the game.
