If we go into the season with Reshad Jones at SS and Jimmy Wilson at FS, how would you feel? Jimmy was moved to FS and I'm hoping he wins the job, I think the kid has a lot of upside. But I think both guys will give us a young fresher back end of the defense. what do you guys think?

Someone needs to step up at this position.

I see Richard Marshall at FS and maybe Tyrell Johnson at SS.

ive been preaching it for a year that wilson should be at fs, and alot of ppl on here called me crazy. he has the skill set and i really think he will be the starting fs at some point if not week one. ss jones should be the starter untill someone out plays him. i dont think we have anyone on the roster right now that fits ss as well as him

Marshall will likely play the number 2 position, not the nickel. Nickel will be smith. He'll also probably cover TEs

I think Wilson would excel at FS. I don't know about Jones at SS.

Why Jones over Clemons? Jones is freaking terrible. I still can't believe on 4 and 3 he plays W.Welker 15 yards off...

Didnt we try this 2 years ago and Smith was fetting torched by TE's? I personally think Smith is a below average CB.

because jones is a natural SS, and clemons cant play SS not physical enough.

Clemons will win the FS spot hands down. Jones will be our SS.

2013 might be Wilson's year though

I don't think most people realize Clemons was injured most of last year. I'd like for Wilson to win the spot, but they aren't handing it to him. He'll be battling it out with Clemons, who could still grow into the position if he's healthy. Fans give up on players too easily. It takes some kids a couple of years to find themselves at the NFL level. Look at Soliai. Who would have thought he'd ever be a player worth a franchise tag early in his career? Everybody wanted him cut. I'm also encouraged about Jones at SS. It clearly is his more natural position. He was physical last year. And I would bet he can cover better than Bell who was statistically one of the worst SS in the league vs. the pass.

Whoever creates the most turnovers in training camp and preseason games. Jones and Wilson seem to be the ballhawks of the players. Clemons is fast and good player but has not created enough turnovers.
