We went in this direction. I honestly feel we will make a big push for either Max Starks or Mike Gandy to be our new LT, and possibly Eric Steinbech as LG. I also think the new regime will see what Daunte is capable of, and see us If we drafted something like this how would you feel about it?

round 1 -CB Leon Hall or Darelle Revis
round 2 - OLB Rufus Alexander or Earl Everett
round 3 - DT Kareem Brown or Marcus Thomas
round 4 - S Josh Gattis
round 6 - WR Chris Davis or Ryan Moore
round 7 - K Mason Crosby

i personaly feel this would be a solid draft, but if Dwayne Jarret is there @ #9 it throws everything off, and we must select him there.

Im not sure Starks can make the transition to LT..

Id rather spend that money on one of the better UFA Cornerbacks then draft a tackle

Starks is restricted and is a better RT. Steinbach would be OK, but I would prefer Kris Dielman from SD. He has worked with Houck in the past and could play RG, which would allow Shelton to go back to LT and compete with Alabi.

Take it for what it's worth, but Saban did say Alabi was a rising star in his final interview with Florida reporters. Again, take it for what it's worth, but I doubt he would say that in his final interview unless there was some truth.

My dream scenario this offseason is to sign Dielman, sign either Samuel or Clements then draft Branch in the first and either Pozluzny (Kiper has him as a second round pick); Everett or Timmons in the second. Then the best WR left on the board in the third.

Unfortunately, the new regime won't get a chance to see what "Daunte is capable of" until TC. Problem is, the draft is in April. Drafting a young QB is a commitment to the future, not a short term fix. Ignoring the QB position like the last few coaching regimes has done is VERY shortsighted and will lead to continued mediocrity.

starks is strictly a right tackle and if pitt decides to put a tender on him we are looking at least a 3rd round pick to get him and we dont need another right tackle. i like steinbach but dielman or davis i would prefer. if we go corner much prefer revis over hall. i think we need to look at OT in the 2nd , maybe someone like Gaither.

TTTOOOOOOOOO much defense. This draft needs to be about offense. Otherwise the same complaints of the last few years of no offense will continue.

What do you guys feel about Landry at #9? I think he is going to be a great pro and would give the Dolphins an enforcer at safety. They haven't had one of those since the Louis Oliver days.

its cute but do you think crosby will last past the 4th? funny that a kicker wil be selected before the heisman winner

omg not another saftey with the 1st pick we need a WR or QB With the 1st pick imo :shakeno:

See your way of thinking is what gets teams in trouble. What if Landry is the top rated player on the board at #9 over a QB or WR? Would you still take a WR or QB who might not be as good of player? I wouldn't. You have to go best player available.

I like it...Kareem Brown i love but i think come combine time his stock will shoot him up the draft board.

our defense is 3rd best is that not good enough.
our offense is just hopeless so i think its clear wer we need to improve

Ya, but stats can be misleading. You can't tell me that the secondary couldn't use some upgrades like a shutdown corner or hard hitting safety. Just because they were ranked 3rd doesn't mean everything is rosey on that side of the ball. I realize the offense needs work too, but you just can't ignore the defensive side of the ball if there is a player worth taking.
